“We had Lois in our school for two ful days working with years 3-6 and she was absolutely fantastic. She engaged the children and delivered fantastic sessions about history - they not only learned so much but retained the information too. The children were free to express themselves through drama whilst still learning the key information. I would definitely recommend West End in Schools to other schools”

She led the children in a wide range of activities based on 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and ensured each child felt valued and heard throughout the session. The children loved showing off their knowledge about the play and demonstrated great creativity as they responded to her prompts. We can't wait to have another workshop!”

“A brilliant workshop which engaged the children from all year groups. The simple language used to explain Shakespeare's language and plays was effective as all children were able to understand the play they were studying. There was plenty of movement and opportunities to practise acting skills. The children really enjoyed the chance to be different characters. The workshop leader was very accommodating and approachable about the varying needs of the children and was amenable to adapting the workshop to allow those children to access the session.”

“Yesterday, Year 1 to Year 6 enjoyed an energetic and engaging workshop with Jimmy from ‘West End in Schools’. They learnt about Shakespeare’s comedy play, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ through story telling, actions and drama. Pupils were enthralled throughout, enjoying the active nature of the sessions and the humour. Jimmy kept all pupils engaged whilst developing their drama skills and knowledge of Shakespeare.”
