“A brilliant workshop which engaged the children from all year groups. The simple language used to explain Shakespeare's language and plays was effective as all children were able to understand the play they were studying. There was plenty of movement and opportunities to practise acting skills. The children really enjoyed the chance to be different characters. The workshop leader was very accommodating and approachable about the varying needs of the children and was amenable to adapting the workshop to allow those children to access the session.”

“This is the second time that we have used. The children respond so poitively to the workshop and it really helps the children's understanding of the play. Recommend !”

“Ollie was great, his behaviour management was excellent, he was funny and most especially skilled. From the very beginning he engaged the children and time was not wasted. Thank you”

“Yesterday, Year 1 to Year 6 enjoyed an energetic and engaging workshop with Jimmy from ‘West End in Schools’. They learnt about Shakespeare’s comedy play, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ through story telling, actions and drama. Pupils were enthralled throughout, enjoying the active nature of the sessions and the humour. Jimmy kept all pupils engaged whilst developing their drama skills and knowledge of Shakespeare.”

“The team at West End in schools is extremly well organised and makes the event so easy to run. From the office staff to the member delivering the workshop on the day the oragnisation was excellent. The children loved taking part in the Romeo and Juliet workshop and to see children of all ages and abilities accessing and performing Shakespeare's work was a real triumph and one that was thoroughly enjoyed by all.”

“Every year our children love the workshop they are provided with and continue to talk about it for the remainder of the year. The workshop leaders are fantastic at what they do, getting children who would not usually participate in drama activities involved in their own creative way.”

“What a fantastic way to celebrate World Book Day! The children at Delce Academy showcased their creativity and enthusiasm during an exciting dance workshop organised by the West End. The children immersed themselves in the magical world of literature through dance. Their movements brought the beloved story of Pinocchio to life in a vibrant display of imagination.”

“Prior to our visit, the organisation of the day was well communicated. On the day, the workshops were enjoyed by everyone! The sessions were well-pitched for each year group and our West End in Schools leader. Mark, was excellent. The final presentation was superb! It was heart-warming to see some of our quieter, less confident pupils shine and become the stars of the show!”

“Beth from West End in Schools visited us last Wednesday and Thursday during Shakespeare Week, and worked with our whole school - from Foundatin Stage up to Year 6. The whole experience was amazing! Every child and adult invoved came out of their workshop gushing with excitement and praise for what they had experienced! We focused on 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' across the school and it was fabulous! Beth differentiated the activities brilliantly for each year group, and we all had a brilliant time! We are ready to book again for next year - and we can't wait!”

“We absolutely loved our workshop today. Lois was lovely and engaged all the children throughout the session. We covered so much in the workshop and time just seemed to fly! It was a great consolidation of our History unit on the Great Fire of London and the children were able to share all their knowledge with Lois through her questionning and drama activities. We will definitely book you again. Thank you.”
