“Alex, our dance instructor, was absolutely fantastic. The assembly he delivered in the morning was fun, interesting and actively involved our pupils. The workshops he provided were linked to the Diwali story of Rama and Sita and were differentiated to allow maximum impact for all children. We highly recommend him and West End in Schools.”

“Bethan was extremely engaging with all the children from both KS1 and KS2. The assembly was a great introduction to Diwali dancing and the workshops that followed were pitched at the right ability for the each age group. We would be really keen to work with West End in School in the future.”

“Utterly inspirational, led by a highly skilled and engaging teacher. The children really responded to her and her instructions. Her teaching was so clear that they could easily transfer this into the routine of the dance. Yet another fantastic workshop, I would highly recommend to others.”

“We booked the 'The Ramayana' - Diwali Dance Workshop for our Reception to Year 2 children. The Year 2 children and teachers loved the workshops however the Year 1 and Reception Teachers felt it could have been enhanced with more visuals and props for the younger children to help them make connections between the dance and the culture, especially in the Assembly! Also, the instructor was late on the second day and the teachers had to led the assembly for 10minutes! Could have been so much better, sorry but won't be booking again.”

“This was a well-paced, well sequenced assembly and workshop about Diwali which really engaged our Year 1 pupils. The dance instruction was very high quality, and Nick was fab. Highly recommended.”

“The Diwali workshop was brilliant: all children were engaged and participated well. The dancing was accessible for all abilities and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The story was explained well to the children and they were able to express and expand upon the story through their own freeze frames and dance.”

“A very engaging and informative assembly presented to the school with discussion about different types of dance particularly traditional and modern Indian dance and performing in the West End. Two outstanding workshops pitched perfectly for the age of the children (Early Years and then LKS2). Children learnt the Rama and Sita story through actions, dance movements, freeze frame and exploring the characters at an age appropriate level. There were lots of opportunities to be active and have a go at different drama/dance techniques. Very good value for money and a great way to bring different faiths alive for the children and staff.”

“Involved the children with the story of Diwali through both acting and dancing. Children were then able to share a better understanding of the Diwali themes, as well as learning a fun, Indian dance. For improvement - the story reviewed wasn't 100% the same as the synopsis in the pack sent prior to the workshop, so it would be better if they were linked completely. Thank you!”
