“All pre-planning and communication was good. John the dancer turned up on time and was well prepared. It cost each child about £6.00 for the experience. First half hour was an assembly for both classes where we practised some of the moves by retelling the Gingerbread Man. This cleverly linked to parts in The Ramayana story. First group had full 40 minute workshop but second group had finished in 30 minutes. They should have got their full time really. It would have been good if we could have kept a copy of the dance notes and been able to download the music to keep as part of the price. It was a good experience for the children and we live in quite an affluent area but can see price might put some schools off as John came and went within 2 hours so was it value for money without being able to keep some of the materials? We have previously paid £10 and had visitors here all day.”

“The assemblies on both days were excellent. They were interactive and fun, whilst being informative at the same time. The workshops were very suited to the age range and all children and staff enjoyed them. Excellent staff on both days. We will definitely consider the same for next year.”

“The drama workshops were very fun and engaging! This was the same from reception all the way to year 6. Lots of the children were heard talking about how much they enjoyed their workshop. It was also a wonderful way to introduce many of the eco-school topics to the children and hopefully these sessions will help frame our next steps. I would say that as a point of improvement that the end ‘final presentation’ although exciting, could be a little better. It was a tight squeeze fitting in all the year groups and it was a big job for one person. However, it was great that the children could see each other’s work and I loved watching the children’s reactions. Thank you so much for visiting us!”

“What a fantastic few days we have had with Hollie, our wonderful dance teacher from West End in Schools. Our children were fully engaged throughout the assemblies and workshops, and were desperate to have a second lesson with her. They have learnt the Ramayana story sufficiently and have a much better understanding of Diwali. I would definitely recommend West End in Schools and look forward to inviting them back.”

“The workshop was linked to our recent topic of Hinduism and focused on dance. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and allowed those children who may be less academic to shine. The knowledge imparted relating to the dance fitted in perfectly to what we have been covering.”

Our Year 3 and 4 children took great delight in discovering their inner dancer as they brought to life the story of 'Where the Wild Things Are' through music and movement. An excellent stimulus for writing and make literature accessible for children who might struggle with different concepts. Thank you - hope we work together again soon.”

“The children were fully engaged and everyone had a speaking part. Children with less confidence built there confidence over the session and were really involved by the end. The story telling element was fantastic and all the children listened with full concentration throughout. The children enjoyed performing at the end and it gave them a deeper understanding.”

“What an amazing day! Craig was amazing and very professional. Each workshop was appropriate for the age range, all pupils were engaged, and everybody left feeling confident. I was so happy to see some pupils that would never stand up and perform have the confidence to recite Shakespeare in front of their peers. I am looking forward to booking again. “Some of the language was too difficult for the children to understand in the workshops and the performance. More facilitators would have been better. It was a bit simple, lots of reading off a screen and not very inspiring. Sorry to sound so harsh but it was disappointing!”
