“I am sorry to say that we were very disappointed with the Diwali workshop, it wasn't what were expecting at all! The presenter arrived dressed in very short shorts, which is not appropriate for a primary school in our area, even though we are a British Christian school we do have children from other ethnic minorities who have other cultural beliefs, which we need to respect. Short lycra shorts are definately not acceptable. Presenter, came with no props, was expecting traditional Asian wear, and put her laptop on a chair she found in the hall, when we offered for her to use our speaker and screen system, this was declined. We tried to take photo's of the workshop, but they looked like a group of children prancing about in the hall, there was no obvious signs that they were learning about Diwali and it was a dance workshop.”

“The children really enjoyed working with Lee. The workshop was a good mix of information and activity for the children. They loved the soundscape and we did this again later in the classroom at the children’s request. It really launched our topic on WW1 and sparked the children’s interest. We loved the way Lee valued any responses from the children and the way he praised their contributions.”

“The girls from year groups 2-6 really enjoyed the workhop which we spread over two days. Although not the easiest of subjects, the workshop was well-contructed with lots of different drama acvitities as well as the inclusion of different WW1 poems and propaganda posters. The trainer was very effective and really passionate about the subject. I would definitely recommend a visit.”

“The Diwali workshop run by Tim was fantastic. With minimal resources Tim managed to engage the children and capture their imagination. Feedback from across the school (nursery to year 6) was very positive which shows that Tim adapted his approach according to the age of the pupils. A year 2 child even asked when we would see Tim again! Would highly recommend to other schools who are looking to enrich their curriculum.”

“The kids thoroughly enjoyed it, they had a great time dancing and expressing the story with their bodies. The teacher (Lucy) was also very good. She had great behaviour management, she had all the children engaged and used appropriate expressions and examples while they were doing their choreography which helped them to understand the moves better (e.g dip your foot in the paint, shake off the puddle water). It would benefit the children if there were slides of the story as Lucy was telling it so that the children had some visual clues to go off and hence understand and retain the story better. The dance moves were at the children's level and stretched them as well. It was a lovely, fun workshop.”

“5 fantastic workshops exploring the meaning of Bullying. Emily was our facilitator for the day and had a very good connection with the children. She was prompt, followed school guidelines and gave each year group a workshop filled with fun whilst also getting an important message across of bullying not being acceptable. “Holly was amazing today. She led 4 Year R Classes in learning the Diwali story of Rama and Sita through dance. The children were engaged throughout (40 minutes) and they listened to the instructions and directions given to them. This resulted in a performance of the Ramayana Dance with traditional music.
