The children loved the workshop. It was engaging, exciting and very festive! All of our children, from Reception to Year 6, and including those with additional needs, were able to take part and develop their acting skills. The communication and organisation before the event was also excellent and helped it to run smoothly.

Superb session on A Christmas Carol which served perfectly to embed the children's knowledge of the text. Everyone had a great time and really got the opportunity to fully inhabit the characters and explore the story. We will undoubtedly be doing it again next year! Also, a really smooth and flexible booking process which makes life ten times easier. Many thanks

The panto was wonderful! The performers were really engaging, pupils joined in enthusiastically and I appreciated the explicit teaching of 'panto rules' that they completed at the beginning (teaching the booing, 'oh no you didn't', 'he's behind you' etc.), which helped all pupils to be fully involved. They had a good understanding of the setting, and planned their management of the room (shared and practiced stop signals with the children) which helped ensure the performance ran smoothly. Pupils were actively engaged throughout the performance, with callouts, singing and dancing, which was really valuable in keeping little fidgety bottoms engaged for the duration. It was delivered clearly, and pupils were able to follow the story from beginning to end. It was a good quality, inclusive and age-appropriate production, delivered in a way that all pupils could engage with - Year 2 thought it was excellent! Year 3 absolutely loved it. It was fun and lively and there was lots of audience participation to keep them engaged. It was also a great experience to see something different and it felt like a real treat for them. My personal EBI was to question the need for the laboured French accents .. I understand they were trying to portray Beauty and the Beast which is a French fairytale, but it made it a little difficult to understand them at times. Generally impressions of other cultures and people are best left alone I think .. we don't want to be contributing to social stereotyping (though I think it went over the children's heads!) Reception thought it was a lovely performance, that demonstrated effective use of props and audience participation. The actors were very inclusive in their approach for our youngest children and SEN. We thought it was of good quality, an appropriate time span. Our children concentrated and join in well. Not one trip to the toilet mid performance from R, which indicated a high level of engagement from us. We really appreciated the performance, we made time to make links with performing in our own show and we prepped the children to what a panto was and expectations. These expectations were well echoed by the performers. Thank you. We loved it!

The kids had a wonderful day and enjoyed stepping back in time. They loved the freeze frames and acting out but were hoping to see some props or costumes to try on. All in all, it was a fun workshop and the adult who took the groups did well to manage the children and keep them engaged.

An engaging and innovative rendition of the story. The children thoroughly enjoyed the songs and continued to sing them back in the classroom.

Montana was really energetic and taught the steps to the dance in short chunks to help the children build up the sequence. Montana gave verbal prompts throughout to support all abilities in joining in. The music really helped the children get into character and Montana was excellent at encouraging this - especially for the final performance. A lot was taught/covered in a short session so thank-you.

A massive thank you to Ben who was absolutely phenomenal with our Year Six classes this morning. He had a really fantastic rapport with the children, reading their behaviour and situations very well and the children got so much out of the session. The activities were engaging, enjoyable and challenging. We are so grateful! Thanks Ben.

West End in Schools anti-bullying drama workshop was used as an introduction to our anti-bullying week. The sessions were highly engaging and children enjoyed taking part in a range of activities. Our visiting leader was enthusiastic and energetic, ensuring all children were able to take an active role in the various activities. Staff were able to join in and we gained ideas for texts that could be used in school to support our PSHE curriculum.
