“West End in Schools visited our school today to teach the children some Roald Dahl dance and drama as part of our whole school Roald Dahl themed week. The children thoroughly enjoyed the workshops and were taught lots of new things in an enjoyable way that allowed all children to access the learning and grow in confidence! Thank you!”

“Diana was super and immediately had control of the pupils. She established the focus and discipline needed for the workshop and then engaged the pupils at all times - she clearly knew exactly what she wanted the children to achieve. She had an excellent knowledge of A Midsummer Night’s Dream so the children very quickly understood. She involved all children, used clear Drama strategies and taught them how to perform. We liked the fact that children spoke Shakespeare so easily with the use of lines on the projector - a clever idea. Lovely performance at the end by all. The workshop was exactly as we wanted - tailored to our school day, children and abilities. Excellent! Thank you!”

“The lady who came was lovely and really engaged the children in several different activities. The children had a lovely day. However we were expecting more from the sessions. We thought there may had been some visual aids such as displays/posters and props rather than Just a lady with CD player. I think the children would have learnt more from these extras however it was a lovely day.”

“It was fun and the children really enjoyed it. The instructor, Ewan, was full of energy, he was inspirational and he worked well with all the children. He adapted the dances for the different year groups enabling them to all participate.”

“The children loved the experience and really enjoyed being active. The idea of not using voices was great as it meant the children were really listening. The only thing i would say is that the input did not really relate to poetry at all which is what we are learning about this term.”
