“West End in schools provided an absolutely fantastic experience in the two days they were in our school. Steph was brilliant! She was super flexible with our hall timetable which meant both days ran smoothly. The children loved turning their favourite texts we have been reading in school into creative dance performances. Would definitely recommend to any primary school!”

“The West End in Schools facilitator was fantastic! She involved all students and got them excited and enthusiastic about performing Shakespeare! It created a real buzz in the school. Kilke was passionate, knowledgeable and very engaging with all students including those with EAL or SEN needs. Everybody was so excited to share their work and embody their characters.”

“The facilitator, Kilka, was excellent. She had boundless energy and enthusiasm, got the measure of the children within seconds and had full control throughout, and managed to get the children to perform an excerpt of the play in hardly any time at all. The standard of the final performance was astounding - a real goosebumps moment. Fantastic!”

“A fantastic whole-school event! Our West End leader was wonderful, she engaged all the children in the activities regardless of their age or ability. Our children felt confident and empowered to perform in front of others and bring Shakespeare to life. All the children and Staff thoroughly enjoyed the day and we wouldn't hesitate to work with West End in Schools again.”

“Overall we were satisfied with our visit from West End in schools. It was interesting to see what tasks had been chosen for the children to complete and how they were delivered by a professional, who successfully kept all children engaged. We felt that the service was not good value for money. At a cost of £499 for one day we were expecting more than one visiting actor.”

“The whole school had a great day- the children were completely engaged and each year group thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Christy was excellent, she was energetic and enthusiastic and kept the children motivated and on task throughout and her behaviour management skills were fantastic. The end result for each class was a wonderful piece of theatre.”

“There was no enthusiasm, no props, no hooks in and the children did not have the experience promised. The book was not brought to life. Very disappointing considering this was a "West End Experience" We are quite upset as this was expensive and we were looking forward to it. We will not use this company again. Really we should have a refund.”

“The children were thoroughly engaged in the session. Every teacher I have spoken to said that their session was fantastic and that the children loved it. One child in my class said “I felt like I was really a pirate!”. Another said “I felt like I was in th story!” The books were well and truly brought to life in an imaginative and fun way for children from Reception to Year 6. Thank you!”

“I thought that the dancer (Holly I think - sorry but I'm terrible with names) who came on 14/3 was excellent. She quickly built a strong rapport with the class. The work she did was ambitious but produced excellent outcomes. At all times, the children were engaged and enthused. Well done and thank you.”
