“Overall we were satisfied with our visit from West End in schools. It was interesting to see what tasks had been chosen for the children to complete and how they were delivered by a professional, who successfully kept all children engaged. We felt that the service was not good value for money. At a cost of £499 for one day we were expecting more than one visiting actor.”

“The children really enjoyed joining in with the simple songs. However due to their age some of the children found the concept slightly hard to follow. Perhaps simple wording would make it easier to understand.”

“The facilitator was cheerful and the children responded to her positivity. She had very clear expectations of the children, was very knowledgeable about the play we studied and had good control over the behaviour and activities she provided. In all it was a really fun day for everyone concerned. Thank you”

“The whole school had a great day- the children were completely engaged and each year group thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Christy was excellent, she was energetic and enthusiastic and kept the children motivated and on task throughout and her behaviour management skills were fantastic. The end result for each class was a wonderful piece of theatre.”

“There was no enthusiasm, no props, no hooks in and the children did not have the experience promised. The book was not brought to life. Very disappointing considering this was a "West End Experience" We are quite upset as this was expensive and we were looking forward to it. We will not use this company again. Really we should have a refund.”

“The children were thoroughly engaged in the session. Every teacher I have spoken to said that their session was fantastic and that the children loved it. One child in my class said “I felt like I was really a pirate!”. Another said “I felt like I was in th story!” The books were well and truly brought to life in an imaginative and fun way for children from Reception to Year 6. Thank you!”

“I thought that the dancer (Holly I think - sorry but I'm terrible with names) who came on 14/3 was excellent. She quickly built a strong rapport with the class. The work she did was ambitious but produced excellent outcomes. At all times, the children were engaged and enthused. Well done and thank you.”

“Comments from our teachers: The workshop was really good! The lady providing the workshop was really on it with the kids - firm when needed, but otherwise really fun. Got the kids into it well. I thought it was great - the kids got lots from it in such a short space of time. Especially in terms of the physical theatre stuff my class did - and I learnt some stuff I’ll definitely use again. My biggest development point would be the choice of play. It’s quite a confusing one to cover in short space of time. It would have been good to have more build up in class to get to grips with the story, before going into the drama workshop. I think would have helped the kids get more out of it. Hope this helps I think that the workshop was a great way of getting the most from the children - as a cohort that usually disengage with anything dramatic, she really did get the best out of 6F given the time she had! The Shakespeare workshop was great. It was pitched at the right level for the children so they knew exactly what was expected of them. All of the children were given a role - I really liked this as some of my class would have sat doing nothing otherwise. This really helped to develop many of my children's confidence. The workshop was very pacey which kept the children engaged and on task. All of my children enjoyed taking part, which was nice to see! Overall, the whole experience was a great one for temple children to get involved with...it is something tat they will definitely remember! 5M really enjoyed the workshop and we will provide detailed feedback tomorrow as a class. I found it useful from a teaching point and how I will use some of the strategies in future lessons linking to PWP.”

“The KS1 staff were very complimentary about the workshop and all agreed that they liked the idea of linking dance to a book. We often find it hard linking it to a topic but liked the idea of linking it to a book. The staff liked the way in which each section of the story was broken down in to manageable sections.”
