“Abi arrived in plenty of time and had everything ready. The children really enjoyed the dance sessions and were able to recall parts of the story when joining in an assembly later in the week. I was very impressed with how well the sessions were managed in terms of organising and engaging the children. They all joined in and there were no behaviour issues!”

“Some of my Year 6 class were not necessarily looking forward to a dance workshop but using a known story and a range of music kept them all engaged. They enjoyed the warm up, liked working in groups and were great at adding dance and drama to their pieces. The class ended up asking for another activity at the end! Great workshop, thank you very much.”

“The children at West Meadows Primary school thoroughly loved this dance workshop. Chantel worked brilliantly with all age ranges and each pupil was engaged. The warm up was fun, the mime and gesture frieze frames were very creative and the final dance was amazing. I would recommend Chantel and the dance company to other schools to help the children understand the story of Divali. Thank you.”

“Today was a super start to the new half-term, in the run up to Remembrance. Lane pitched the activities perfectly for Year 6 to fit with our World War 1 topic, with a little historical background knowledge check to start, followed by completely engaging and relevant performances of themed poetry and drama. The characteristics of poetry were discussed: lines, verses, rhythm, rhyme, imagery and emotion. The children were reminded of the respect required appropriate to the theme, and also the empathy of both the beginning of the war and how the mood changed with the reality of its horror. The children thoroughly enjoyed their experience. Highly recommended.”

“Here is feedback given by our staff at Martongate: Our children in EYFS thoroughly enjoyed it and we have had some good feedback from parents too! The lady who ran the workshop had a good manner with the children, enthused them to join in and made them feel like they could all do it. She taught the dance in short, sharp bursts and included repetitiveness which helped our children remember the routines. The Autumn term workshops is definitely something I’d be interested in doing with my class. Year 3 – I thought the workshop was fab, well organised, at the right level and allowed all children to achieve. I would definitely be interested in doing the Christmas workshops! Year 4 - I thought they were absolutely fantastic!!!! Really good with the kids! The only slight criticism is I would love it if the workshops were longer!!!!! Year 5 - The instructor did a fantastic job with the time they had and the book choices were perfect too as all of the children were really familiar with them. Year 6 – Our children loved the workshops and responded well to the instructor – even if they are now ‘too cool for school!’”
