I asked for the number off my V5 but was refused

Hi there, Thanks for leaving your feedback, we really appreciate it. We have an automated process in place for notifying the DVLA so if this is why you had asked for the number on your V5, this is why we wouldn't need to give this information to our customers. As long as the V5 we have been provided is the latest copy, we will automatically advise the DVLA of the sale via their online portal, the day after the sale has been completed. So no further action is required from yourself. This in turn will automatically prompt the DVLA into refunding any unused road tax back to previous keeper or cancelling an existing direct debit. To be honest, it's pretty good and efficient. The guy there was great, got what I expected really considering the age. Transaction fee of £50 is a bit naughty, but hey ho.
