We valued our car on the web site and booked an appointment to finalise the transaction initially they were very professional confirming appointment times and that we had every thing. When we arrived we were met by a representative who came and looked over the car marketing notes on a clip board as we watched we were invited Upto the office So he could enter all the in formation after a while he advised that the offer from the website would need to be adjusted by £400 due to some damage found on the car scratched wheel and two very faint scratches on the body this surprised both me and my wife as we knew no damage was on the wheels so I went back to the car and found that the damage was actually bird mess on the wheels and came off with a wipe of my finger so no damage the scratches that were there were so faint that they almost came off with me wiping them with a wet finger the advisor then came down to the car and saw that there was no damage on the wheel but proceeded to point out a little mark on the other side wheel which he hadn't seen on his extensive first review also the scratches that were on the n/s/r wing were now mistakenly mark down and it was the light stone chips that were decreasing the value. Never the less we decided not to sell to this company as we believe that the whole process is a scam and the initial value given is to draw you in put you in front of an advisor and push for the sale not very professional I will be taking this up with trading standards and the ombudsman

The person I saw at Gloucester thought I was a stupid old lady and tried to fob me off with bogus damage. However I did receive the cash which was the highest valuation I was offered.

What we were offered at valuation was not offered at appointment. Why waste everyone’s time and petrol. Despite the car being old and the rep saying it was in good condition. Why??? Locks Heath shopping centre.

Waited almost 3hrs after appointment time, was told pad had been playing up but fine now. Three cars to see before us approx 20 min each. Then after almost 3 hrs, offered half the online value, with him acting as if getting me best deal and extra for waiting. Then paid £10 less than was told. Scrap had offered 60 more than what I got paid by wbac. But as by this time gone 7pm it was too late to take it back to scrapyard. Had to get it sorted as needed to transfer and insure another car same day. Husband recently died, couldn't afford both cars. Horrendous experience

Atrocious customer service with Simon at Monks Cross York today. Had been told to avoid this company for a valuation so got another 4 and was passing these so called in. £2000 less than highest other offer and £1700 less than lowest other offer. Simon was not only arrogant but also rude and when he was given proof of other offers just told us to go there then and walked off! Never ever use this company, total rip off merchants and as others have stated probably full of fake reviews. Best advice is STAY WELL CLEAR!!!

They bought my car, next day I have been told engine management light is on “which was not there”. For that they reduce the offer by £2500 which I refused and asked the car back. They returned the car after 10 days, extra 165 miles on mileage 3 chips on the bonnet. Interesting thing is there was no engine management light On. Customer service was very poor almost no communication from their side and wouldn’t trust them again. Advice everyone to take the pictures of the car before handing them over. Will never use them again.

Exorbitant deduction for the smallest paint chip on a door frame… watch out. The price you walk away with isn’t the one they promise, and unfortunately agree with all the other reviewers having now experienced it myself

We spoke to two different people working at we buy any car and asked how much roughly my Aygo Toyota valued at £1,400 would devaluatie after they informed us that the car had history or a category N write off.. they informed us that it would still be worth the journey from Orkney (to Inverness) which is a 1.5hour ferry and a 2.5hour drive (costing over £100). We were then offered £210 for the car! This wasted a whole day of travel and money! We are very very disappointed with the service and the misinformation! We would have just scraped the car locally or sold it in Orkney if we knew this would be the case! Terrible customer service and we will not be back unless we get a sincere apology or some compensation! Regards Lillie

Personally it was a joke I got paid 800 less because it was a cat D car. The condition was fine, it just had a cat marker. I don’t understand how you can take 800 off for a cat D car when nothing is wrong with it. That’s a substantial amount of money.

Offered valuation online of £1635 and on turning up this was almost halved on the basis that there had been an 'error' as my car was Saab vector and they 'thought' it was higher spec car. Given the online registration specifies exactly the model of car this was a scam. Value dropped to £870 and offered a 'deal' of £906. Was told I was getting good deal as they would usually take £500 fro some scrpaes to wheele hubs. This is a 14 year old car with very low mileage (58,000), only owned by me, full service history and almost showroom paintwork. Told there would be deduction for one miscule scrape on under surface of front bumper. I was confused, upset and took the offer but feel like I have been scammed.

Your on line quote offered me £31k for my Mercedes. Upon inspection at the Kassam Stadium your Rep Declan offered me below £30k due to a very minor scuff on the from bumper. He agreed that it would be a 10 min job with a polisher and it took a long time to get the offer increased to £30k - ultimately £1k less for 10 mins work to remove the scuff. At one point Declan said the one line offer ‘meant nothing’. You are con artists

Used we buy any car in kings Lynn before but this time very uncomfortable transaction, I know that they knock you down but my car was in a good state better than other times actually and yes 6 years old but no dents or scratches through the paintwork and all equipment seats even left spare wheel and towbar and they knocked £600 off for nothing. They never even looked in the boot engine just went a quick round and said yes some chips etc so there is the price, no negotiating as before. yes, i am afraid a rip-off this time so not using in the future now.
