Not the best service this time I’m afraid. I paid for fitting AND balancing and they failed to use a balancing machine choosing to randomly place a weight on the motorcycle rim. Which I only found out upon riding the machine. Which was so horrendously out it shook the headstock. After placing the wheel on my static balancer it was found that the measly 10g weight they had stuck on was totally in the wrong place and wasn’t nearly enough weight to balance the wheel/tyre assembly
Not what they used to be, I could always rely on getting a job done at Watling Tyres but unfortunately they don’t do ALL the job a paid for fitting and balancing! I expect my wheel to be actually put on the balancing machine and not guessed and slung out the door bad show chaps I won’t be calling again!!!
Normally good for tyres they appeared to be very expensive for something that I thought vas pretty simple and straightforward. With no fixed price given ended up paying £95 on completion of oil and filter change. Will not use again for this kind of work. The service was friendly though.
I used to like and trust them. No longer I do. Rang to get a quote on something that was pretty straightforward but instead of getting the price I was told that "normally we would do it for such and such". When asked what that would depend on i didn't get a reasonable answer but still brought the car to the garage. Having finished the work the man asked me what quote I was given and when I said that there was no exact figure he charged me the upper price they mentioned on the phone. Did not feel like I wanted to argue as surely if the price is not fixed then one can be charged whatever. I now feel been ripped off but have learned my lesson and certainly will not return.
Dover Watling Tyres broke my locking wheel nut key and have argued the toss about it I has cost me £30 to replace the key and new nuts it has cost them my good will and continued custom of over 30 years standing .
I was waiting 2 hours for a tyre change and tracking in Rainham. While this is a first time to happen since I've used Watling Tyres and I'm very happy overall with them. Just this time I was left very unhappy with the waiting time. There was only two men working and there was only 1 customer ahead of me.

Unfortunately there was a staff shortage that day and this is why the full tyre fitting and tracking service was taking sometime. At the time, we did apologise and did inform you about how long this would take.
Sat waiting an age for guys to do the job, they were more interested in chatting and smoking

Terrible service, took an hour and a half to have a tyre fitted and it wasn’t even busy. Staff rude especially in the office. Didn’t even get an apology for the ridiculous wait, Will not be returning
over the last month and 3 sets of tyres, i find if i ask a question a little out of the ordinary, i,e to confirm the tyre i want. They put the phone down on me.
So. I Went to the Gillingham branch for a set of PR4's for a motorbike. I gave the EXACT size to them but none in stock, but a phone call and I was told Sittingborne had some. I ride there and they tell me they have them. Wheel and tyre removed and...nope. None in stock. They did have them at Maidstone so they send a driver there and back to collect them. So I sit and wait for an hour and finally they arrive. They get fitted and I pay. But wait, not over yet as when I go to the bike they've fitted the rear tyre backwards. So I wait some more for the wheel to be removed again and the tyre fitted the right way round. In total nearly 4hrs of messing around. I know stuff happens. But for a store that say they fit loads of motorcycle tyres I was astonished that no one noticed a tyre fitted backwards. Not somewhere I'll go again.
went to watling tyres in snt Leonards to have tyres fitted that I supplied. only to drive off and find they had not balanced them. when I went back to ask why they were shaking like mad they replied ,OH we haven't got the right fitting on our balance machine to do Citroen wheels.... WHAT! ARE YOU JOKING? its the 21st century for gods sake. very poor show Conan
Very disappointed. Document number on receipt 35C30411 Had 4 tyres fitted, wheels balanced and wheel alignment carried out at Margate branch on 25.04.15. The previous day when I was at the garage booking my vehicle in a Mercedes ML was having new tyres and balancing carried out. The fitter used stick on weights on the wheels after cleaning the inside with solvent. On the day that my tyres were fitted I noticed that the same fitter used hammer on weights for my alloy wheels. This didn't ring any alarm bells until somebody told me that stick on weights should be used due to the damage that hammer on weights can cause, upon checking online it became apparent that this is true. The vehicle was washed for the first time on 11.05.15, it was noticed that the nearside rear wheel only had 3 bolts holding it on-There could only be 3 possible reasons for this 1. The bolt had been stolen(unlikely) 2. The bolt had fallen out(this would mean that the fitter didn't tighten the bolt correctly) 3. The bolt wasn't refitted after the work was carried out(most likely) I have emailed Watling Tyres twice now on enquiries@watling-tyres.co.uk asking for their comments or explanation-Thus far I have received no response. I am extremely unhappy with this situation, hence this negative review. Firstly my wheels have potentially been damaged by the use of hammer on weights, secondly my car was left in a potentially dangerous condition by the omission of fitting the 4th bolt. All-in all a very disappointing experience. Supporting evidence in the form of invoice and receipt can be supplied to substantiate this review if required.
