Please be warned. This entire companies business practice is structured to rip you off. They will claim you were involved in an accident that was nothing to do with you, even when you get confirmation from the insurer who logged it on the underwriters exchange that it’s nothing to do with you . They will speak to you like dirt They will waste hours of your time They will ignore your complaints And then to add insult to injury , when you finally run out of patience they’ll charge you £55 to cancel before your policy has even commenced.

What an absolute joke of a company. I had to cancel my insurance because won't accept the fact that i had insurance on my provisional license to add up to my 3 years no claim bonus. Cancellation fees withing the 7 days since i took my insurance through these? I don't think so, I shall be putting a further complaint and dispute and more negative feedbacks will be left online.

THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE ARRESTED ON THEFT CHARGES....TOOK MY MONEY OF OVER 100 POUND AND THEN COULD NOT PROVIDE ME WITH ONGOING COVER....WANT TO EXECISE MY COOLING OFF PERIOD RIGHTS BUT THEY CANCELLED MY POLICY AND KEPT MY MONEY SAYING I HAD TO PAY A COOLING OFF PENALTY AND I OPTED IN TO OP OUT OF ANY RIGHT TO RECIEVE MY REFUND ENTITLEMENT??!! WHICH COST OVER 100 POUNDS FOR 2 DAYS COVER ON A 400 POUND POLICY...I HOPE MY FURTHER STEPS WILL BE A LESSON TO THESE DAYLIGHT ROBBERS......DO NOT USE.

took my money then afterwards wanted evidence of no claims from other insurer then claimed my vehicle was subject to an open claim .it then was agreed that it was not my new vehicle that was subject to an open claim but open claim was for a private car my wife was driving in 2017 .Van compare then agreed that if i provided proof that it was my wife driving they would honour the agreed policy which i was eventually able to provide them with on the deadline day . however their representative ,who promised to call me back(i gave permission and asked my wifes car insurer to answer any questions about the claim on her incident once i was aware that they needed this confirming )obviously van compare failed to contact them. this then was followed by van compare hastily cancelling the policy and today refunded me . they have taken over £200.00 for the privileged of not providing insurance cover TOTALLY AND UTTERLY DISGUSTED WITH THEIR MERCENARY ATTITUDE . HOWEVER THE WELL MANNERED STAFF CANT BE FAULTED IN THEIR PHONE MANNER PLEASE BE AWARE OF THESE PEOPLE

Good day Mr Magiera, Thank you for your feedback we do appreciate it. As most Insurance policies go, the Validation of the Insurance can only be done once the policy has already been paid for. If the information that was provided at inception does not match what your previous Insurers hold or the Claims & Underwriting Exchange database for that matter we would be required to see a documented proof stating the information you have initially gave is correct indeed. Expensive for a careful driver who never had a blame worthy accident yes i had one with under cover police who lost film footage of the accident when they ran into the back of my van. Outcome 50/50. Unhappy

I'm sorry you feel we are too expensive though a 50/50 claim will increase any premium naturally as the quote will be based on your risk details and most Insurer's will see any individual as a higher risk if they have had a claim within the last 5 years be it Fault or non Fault. The person who appeared to be happy over the fact that my insurance had gone up and then was positively gleeful when i told her that i finally, had received 3 points on my licence after all these years. Can't wait or my renewal date.

was very fast to give me a price and take the amount in full then 1 week later send me email saying that unless i prove ncb they cancel my insurance proved ncb then they sent email saying canceling my policy unless share my driving licence on line which i had to do because i have already payed and they would not give me refund basically bullied me would not recommend this service as they say one thing and ultimately are just trying to put the price up and not very helpful customer service as they dont care about you just trying to get more out of u be aware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good evening Mr Hale, Thank you for your feedback we do appreciate it. As stated in our terms of business it was advised that a validation check will be performed within the first 14 days of the policy for certain documents your specific Insurer may require. With that we have to issue notice that clearly stipulates what is needed and the time frame allowed as any Business normally would. When You guys were selling your insurance I had 10 years no claims bonus which it was confirmed by my previous insurance to your insurance but somehow your colleague didn’t register me on my no claim bonus neither emended their mistake that caused me to pay more. That’s why I not happy with your insurance.

When changing vehicle halfway through you can’t match price you get online & end up paying 50% more or you have to pay to get out of policy & people don’t understand what your telling them think it was 4 phone calls just to change van on policy don’t think will use again when I renew in 6 months

Been with vancompare for years always had paper renewal documents and automatic renewal. Apparently they have gone paperless so no paperwork was sent an email was sent to a discontinued address so I was not aware my policy had not been renewed. Luckily I didn't have an accident as I was driving with no insurance. When I was made aware of this by a third party I immediately contacted van compare to be told it was my fault and my premium would increase by 50%.

Massively over charged for my insurance called in to amend it and was told I would have to pay almost £200 to cancel it I'm hung over a barrel with no way out and paying well over the odds conned by my automatic renewal price, I trusted the price and company very let down won't use again

I have had a look into your case and as stated in our terms of business, for any changes made to your Insurance after inception there will be an administration fee playable as well as an Insurer charge for the risk details changing from what they originally were and for the cancellation of the policy. In this instance your information provided at inception were incorrect which resulted in the premium being increased to match.
