About Urban Cooling:

At Urban Cooling, we have been installing all types of air conditioning solutions into residential, commercial, retail and leisure premises for over 20 years.

We specialise in providing air conditioning to buildings which otherwise cannot have it. With our solutions, buildings such as apartments and listed buildings can have the same standard of air conditioning as conventional systems provide, without the need for an external unit.

Operating within the M25, we undertake installations across all London postcodes.

“Excellent system for my flat - was the only system that we could realistically have installed on 23rd floor without disrupting anything. It works very well and we are happy to be staying cool over this hot spell.”

“The installation was performed professionally and courteously over two days. There were some teething issues in the days after the system was installed but an engineer was dispatched and was eager to help out and managed to resolve the issues. The system is very efficient even for a hot 5th floor west facing flat. Thank you Urban Cooling!”

Thank you for your feedback, and we're truly sorry to hear about your initial frustrations with the system. We're pleased to report that shortly after your installation, we returned and identified the root cause of the issue: an incorrect thermostat value had been programmed into the system, stemming from a configuration file provided by one of our suppliers. Once discovered, this was promptly rectified during our visit, and we’re happy to confirm that the system has since been operating perfectly. We do sincerely apologise for the delay in our response and the time you spent dealing with the unreliable performance. We fully appreciate how inconvenient that must have been. The delay was not reflective of how seriously we take post-installation support, but rather a result of unexpectedly high demand in recent weeks that has temporarily stretched our resources. We are actively addressing this by expanding our team so we can respond more swiftly and support our customers at the level they rightly expect from us. “I'm very happy with the air conditioner installed in my bedroom, which is on the top floor of a building with south facing exposure. Very quiet, and doesn't use much energy. I would have installed more of them in other rooms if it were feasible. My only complaint is with Paul, who tried to convince me to rip up the ceiling in my home office -- a project that would have taken 5 days and caused massive damage -- in order to sell me another air conditioner that he had thought could be easily installed. I had to tell him no. He shouldn't have tried to pressure me.”

“Initial installation was excellent, although we used our own builder to make good as the Urban Cooling contractor never responded to us. Subsequently, the compressor unit caused our mains power to trip whenever it came on (after only 2 months) - we waited 10 days for UC to send an electrician (he could not fix it); then a delay at which point I demanded a replacement unit rather than a repair; then a single engineer with the wrong size unit (that he could not have carried up the stairs anyway); and finally two guys with a new unit that was installed and works. All that said, the air-conditioning is great; the team have all been friendly and helpful; and mostly we have just been a bit unlucky (our 2 neighbours who also had UC install units for them have had no issues)”

“Equipment works very well and it is such a luxury to have pleasant room temperature in a south-facing flat that used to be constantly overheated in the spring and summer months. Runs smoothly and quietly. The installation was quick, efficient and competent, and advice was readily provided. Highly recommended!”

“Very happy with the installation process and team. Good communication throughout, and the installation team was prompt, efficient, professional and friendly. The Toshiba Designer wall units look much nicer than the normal utilitarian units. So far we are very satisfied. We haven't had a chance to use the A/C system in earnest yet, but everything seems to be working as it should.”

“Urban Cooling installed a/c for us last summer and we have been super impressed with the system and the service they deliver. They went above and beyond in locating the condensor in an awkward place in our flat, which took them longer to do, and didn't look to add additional cost to the original quote. They have also been extremely responsive on a couple of early implementation snags and sent out an engineer promptly to fix it. Bes tof all teh a/c was a Godsend last summer and we are excited to have it available for the next heatwave. Totally recommended.”

“Very easy and pleasant all the way through to completion. The lads came on site were very polite and efficient. After completion, paciently explained to me how to use and maintain. Site was also cleared. Impressive work and now only wait for the hot days in summer to enjoy the aircon!”

“We are a business located in Bath in a Grade 1 listed building. We are not allowed to fit conventional air conditioning with an air cooler mounted outside. Hence approaching Urban Cooling to install their water cooled system, which was mounted in our washroom cupboard and is entirely internal to the office space. We have now had the unit running continuously for 1 year without any issues. It provides powerful cooling and is virtually silent in operation. We are delighted with the air conditioning system.”

“It was a simple uncomplicated process from start to finish with people who were understanding and fully informed re their subject. I was happy to proceed and from first survey until the Installer Luke and co arrived, it was smooth. Luke did have flak from the neighbour upstairs as the concrete building reverberated with the drill noise. But he handled it with great British phlem and continued on with great good humour. I so appreciated that. The finishing up of the ceilings for the pipes was handled by my own builders on site so cannot comment on that aspect. But the machines themselves are elegant enough for me to happily live with. Simple and uncluttered. I needed both air and heating. They seem to do both very well for the demands I have. I felt every step of the way that the whole company had a hands on interest in responding to me immediately about the job. And for that I thank them. My flat gets hugely hot because of the large windows. It is a Godsend to have it air cooled now. I absolutely recommend them. Nice bunch of people doing a great job. Thank you to all.”

“I have found everyone in the team to be friendly and efficient. I am very happy with the system. The units are very neat and I am pleased with the way the fit into my home. I live in a flat which is under the roof and it can get very hot - the units have made it much more comfortable.”

“We were so impressed with the installation of our two air conditioning units. The team arrived on time, worked efficiently and with great care as well as being very friendly. After they left, you would hardly have known any work had been done. Everything was left clean and tidy and all holes made good. More importantly, we are very happy with how well the aircon works. Super quiet and very effective making our flat a comfortable space to enjoy during the summer months. We can't recommend Urban Cooling highly enough.”
