“I ordered an "any size" slate sign" expecting it to be engraved, but it arrived as 2D screen print on a flat piece of slate. I requsted a replacement with engraving but the company refused stating company policy was not to replace custom made products. This was disappointing because I genuinely thought I was buying an engraved sign due to all the photos of engraved signs on the website, so would have expected some leeway from them.”

We would like to clarify the details for the benefit of future customers reading this. The product you purchased offers two finish options: UV Print (included as standard) and Deep Engraving (optional upgrade). During checkout, the UV Print option was manually selected on your order. The sign you received was produced exactly in line with this selection. On the product page, the main display image is an automatic preview that updates with the customer’s chosen text, and the thumbnail images below it show a mixture of both UV printed and engraved examples from previous orders. The finish itself must be selected from the dropdown menu, and both options, including the engraving upgrade, are clearly listed there, as well as in the Key Features of the product. Since the item was custom-made to the specific options chosen and accurately reflects the product description, it is not eligible for a free replacement or upgrade under consumer law. However, we did offer a discounted deep-engraved replacement as a goodwill gesture. We always want customers to be happy with their purchase, and we hope this explanation helps provide clarity for others considering the same product. Regards, UK Sign Shop

“Perfect house number. But the delivery was less than ideal - the courier just threw the package (acrylic sign!) onto the ground (possibly from some height). BUT the sign was very well packed so there was no damage (thank you to the packing team!). Would definitely order if more signs needed. Thank you.”
