“Nice slate sign, took about a week but worth the wait. White text is deeply engraved and very clear. Slightly let down by included skinny screws that didn't fill the holes. You have to be careful not to screw them hard onto the slate, could do with some kind of (plastic?) inserts to centre the screws and protect the slate?”

“Sign looks great. However the screws supplied are made of soft metal and the heads of 2 out 4 sheared off when I tightened them leaving me with the problem of removing the headless screw thead from the wallplug. Luckily I had pliers and patience, (and my own spare screws)”

“Really really good quality product and looks good too - reasonably quick delivery too, but one gripe is the template they come with. I bought two numbers, one had a decent ish card template with drill holes on and the other was a photocopy, different sized paper and was a pain to lineup with the other.”

“Reasonable value for money and relatively quick delivery. Kept informed with regard to order progress. Negative - in order to get holes for fixing you need to include the aluminium spacers , which appear plastic, whether required or not. An option to have pre drilled holes only would be helpful.”

“Overall slate sign very good. House number next to name, the name could be a little larger if it consists of one word only. This facility not available. My initial order contained the house name in lower case, entirely my mistake. When I phoned to correct this error within an hour of placing order I was told that the whole process was ‘automated’ and that it might not be possible to change the name to capitals!! In the end it was corrected, but I had to wait to open the package to find out!”

To clarify, our website includes a live preview function that shows exactly how your sign will appear before you place your order. We also advise customers to carefully check all wording, capitalisation, spacing and layout during the ordering process, as signs are produced directly from the approved preview. As our production process is highly automated, orders cannot normally be amended once they have been placed. When you contacted us regarding the capitalisation of your house name, we explained that while we could update the information on our system, we could not guarantee that the production team had not already downloaded the original artwork for manufacture. However, as a gesture of goodwill, we agreed to try and make the amendment for you. We're pleased that the correction was successfully made and that your sign arrived as expected.
