Unfortunately house sign arrived chipped on one corner, because I paid for the sign to have coating on it it’s now a different colour on the chipped bit. I also thought for the money that it would come with screws needed that would blend in to house sign. We paid a lot of money so I would have hoped both of these things wouldn’t have happened.

Product arrived without any mounting instructions (the online instructions linked in the receipt were not relevant for me) and it was not immediately clear which was the 'sticky side' of the sign. Simple labels on the protective sheets would have clarified this. Telephone or chat help was not available on the weekend when I needed it. Once I established front and back with difficulty, the protective sheet did not come off easily at all, in fact I would say the sign stuck better to the protective sheet than to the 'carrier' sheet. Given my intricate design with many small components, this became a nightmare to remove. Finally, fixing the sign to the glass was a difficult task and the result is a sign with lots of small visible bubbles. Not a good experience.

When the parcel arrived the actual sign was just the job and what we ordered. However the backing plate was damaged. I contacted the company who immediately sent out a replacement plate. This was also damaged in exactly the same place. Also with the sign I ordered a solar light which is supposed to illuminate the sign. I have to say that this solar light is next to useless. Unless you are able to place it in direct and FULL sunlight daily in order to charge, it is about as bright as a lump of coal. Not pleased and wouldn't purchase again.

Disappointing. Paid extra for our sign to be delivered quickly but it didn’t turn up in the time frame stated. Requested refund for additional carriage which was agreed and refunded. Sign itself is purely a piece of acrylic with vinyl overlay absolutely not worth what was charged especially as the vinyl was peeling at the edge.

Just about acceptable but poor quality. Smudged letter, holes not drilled through and chipped holes poorly repaired. I appriciate it’s a natural product and hard to work with but still not great. Just about good enough to not send back.

Although the customer service was relatively good, unfortunately the quality of the product left a lot to be desired with glaring issues. Upon delivery of an engraved slate house sign, the white paint used in the engraving had leached out onto the surrounding areas. When reported the company sent out a second sign but this time all the characters were not aligned correctly.. This company suffers from extremely poor pre-delivery inspection, two attempts and still issues..They really need to improve.. Sorry Sign Shop but you had your chance and failed.

Flimsy. The numbers were transfers which had scratched and become damaged by normal handling as we fixed it to the wall. Put it in the bin.

Poor customer service and there was a fault on my product but they let it go out anyway. When it hadn't arrived after being with the courier for 5 days, I was fobbed off with a standard reply telling me to wait 7-10 days before contacting them, even though I told them of my special circumstances. i.e. it was a present and I was taking it to the USA the following week. After 9 days of chasing it with EVRi and them, it finally arrived but I was disappointed in the product. I know slate is a natural product and does have blemishes, but this is so prominent I can't believe their quality control allowed it to go out. I will admit, I shouldn't have left it to the last minute and I must say they did give me £15 back, but I'd rather have a better product than the money. Lesson learned on my part.

I have looked into this for you and can see that from the point of ordering, to the delivery of your product it was 10 working days. We do advise on our website at checkout that delivery is within 7-10 working days, so we were still within our timeframe, although I understand it Is frustrating that it was with Evri for quite some time. This is why we do advise the delivery length to ensure that we are covered for any delays in shipping. Regarding the slate surface, because it is a natural product it does have pyrite and veins which I can see from your product, there were some veins in the surface. This is advertised on our website, but I am glad that our customer service team were able to provide a gesture of goodwill partial refund. There is too much gap after the apostrophe so the s falls off. I've had to re-do the sign and move the apostrophe past the s which is not what I really wanted.

The quality was really poor and when I contacted them they didn’t bother to respond. Very poor service. Also the solar light doesn’t even charge properly and it light up really dimly

2.5 stars in reality. Sign received with a defect of isolated pyrite visible on the sign. These are gold/brown flecks showing above the writing. I contacted the service desk and was informed these defects are completely normal for the product and that it is a natural imperfection which they cannot control. I would argue a tighter quality controls and inspections could prevent this but apparently this is earned against somewhere on the website prior to purchasing. The fixings are rather poor quality and I opted to use better wall plugs and screws. The customer support at least gave a timely response and the sign is nice enough, shame about the defect.

Pretty poor quality. Scratches on back plate. Nowhere near as good as one it is replacing. Bought the last one from UK sign shop as well. Bought thr same dimensions and they have helpully changes the screw fixture points on the back.

Our sign arrived and the address was not exactly centered on the slate. On the left side there was a 6cm gap between the edge of the slate and the start of the address. On the right side the corresponding gap to the end of the address was 4cm. So a 2cm difference. Which was fairly obvious on our 50cm x 12cm sign. So if you place an order, please be aware that your address may not be exactly centered. The company say the finished sign exactly replicates the on-screen design, and therefore I have no grounds for a refund/replacement. I think this is a bit harsh as it is practically impossible to detect this centering discrepancy on a mobile device, where the virtual sign could be many many times smaller than the physical size. It is a beautiful sign though. The slate, the font we chose, and the engraving, are all lovely.

I purchased a Nora solar light to illuminate my house number at night. The house does not face South and without direct strong sunlight the unit does not work at all - not even a faltering glimmer so a complete waste of money. Service from UK Sign Shop was fine but the product was not.

As the light is charged using the daylight/sunlight, we would advise to ensure that it is in direct sunlight for 24 hours to provide it with the optimum initial charge needed. First sign arrived damaged. Probably due to the inadequate packaging and sending with Amazon so it just gets rammed through the letter box. Second sign was packaged the same but got through largely unscathed. The sign looks nice but not convinced it will be long lasting - time will tell. I was a bit disappointed that the aluminium is only a foil and it is applied to plastic. I was trying to avoid buying a plastic sign. This was not very clear in the description.
