“I recently ordered tyres through Tyre Savings, and in terms of price, I can’t complain — the tyres themselves were a good deal and the ordering process was straightforward. Unfortunately, the tyre fitting service (McConechy’s/Halfords) completely let the experience down. My fitting appointment was scheduled between 10am and 11am. I arrived about 15 minutes early, yet no one acknowledged me or asked if I needed help. When I eventually got served, the sales rep told me to leave my keys and that they’d be in touch once the car was ready. When I asked how long the job would take, I was told they had a backlog and that my booking didn’t guarantee the work would be done within the time slot. In fact, he estimated it would be around 3pm before they’d get to it. When I questioned what the point of booking a time slot was, the response was basically, “That was up to you.” At that point I cancelled the fitting altogether. I ended up going to Kwik Fit, which was the nearest alternative. I did have to pay more for the tyres compared to my original Tyre Savings order, but they completed the job in about an hour, with none of the hassle. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend McConechy’s/Halfords for fitting based on this experience. Tyre Savings offered good prices, but the fitting partner completely failed to deliver a reasonable service.”

“Very good prices for tyres. Easy booking on line. Only let down slightly by the garage who spent over an hour changing two tyres. (me being the first and only customer for a long while after opening time).”

“For the second time in a couple of months I got to the tyre fitters at the appointed date and time but the tyres had not been delivered and neither was the car booked in. A total waste of time and petrol. Last time I gave you the benefit of the doubt, but never again.”
