“Bought the makita ls1018 compound mitre saw. Delivery was on time, great price and I have to say the customer service was very quick to respond to all email enquiries. Would definitely recommend.”

“Was I pleased that I placed my order with this most excellent company when the site for registering this item falsely identified my application to register was falsely identifiedas SPAM and then cut me out completely, despite me trying to get through all afternmoon. The product was Milwaukee K540S heavy duty SDS Hammer Drill, a superb & formibable piece of kitm ade to the highest spec. It is sold with a standard 12 month warranty, but with it came the opportunity to extend this warranty to 3 years by simply emailing Milwaukee and reistering the purchase and tool number with them. But I couldn't do this despite trying everything I could to get through.My item was stuck with 1 years warranty only. I desperationion I emailed the supplier Alan Wadkins Tool store, explained the situation and asked for their help but doubtful about their possible response. I need not have worried because they immediately used their customer service team to look into it. Within 24 hours a computer expert on their team had identified the SPAM problem and reorted the problem to his line manager, a lovely lady called Nikki who emailed me to explain that the false 'SPAM' idenitity for my request was a freak one-off I.D. fault on that particular Milwaukee registration site and she apologised & supplied me with a special number for the UK Milwaukee H.Q. to register it on. In the meantime I had approached a friend (who is far better than me with computers ), for help and managed,eventually to register the item for the full 3 yr warranty. But Tool Store (Alan Wadkins) still kept in touch throughout. What a firm ! I cannot praise them enough. Thery had made the sale and the problem was not their fault but their 'after-sales service' was outstanding. Apart from that, their price for the item was the lowest I found, it was delivered free of charge within 2 days, their service and communication were excellent and MY GOD am I glad I bought from them as things turned out. The product is excellent, made to a very high standard by an excellent manufacturer and topping all this was the part played by the supplier on Price, Free delivery, communication and after sales service. For anyone considering the purchase of high quality tools I would not hesitate to commend Alan Wadkins Tool Store. Make sure you check their site first and remeber that they WILL be there for you if anything goes wrong, if my experience of them is anything to go from. - Mike Watson n Lancashire. UK.”

“Took my makita drill there to get repaired on the Friday. Was told i should have it back by the following Wednesday/ Thursday which was fair enough as I use it for work everyday. It’ll be 3 weeks tomorrow since they’ve had it and there seems to be no sign of me getting it back, Which is effecting my work. Each time I phone up I either get “that they have ordered next day delivery for the parts but don’t know when they will arrive “ or “ he’s not in the workshop right now but I’ll get him to call you back ( which he never does ) “ Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be sending my tools back there again in the future nor shopping after this experience”

Hi Sorry to see you haven`t had a good experience with our company, in terms of a repair issue your having. If you could provide some information regarding this please then we can look it this matter for you. ie name, contact number, machine model then we can look to resolve or see why this issue has occurred. HI Thank you for emailing us with the details so we can look into this matter for you. Having looked into the repair i can see this was booked onto our system on the 13th March. The workshop fitter has looked at the machine and ordered the parts required from Makita, however the parts I'm afraid haven`t arrived to us from them until the 26th March due to them being behind with orders and staff levels. The workshop fitter then works his way through his repairs trying to get them done, he is I'm afraid behind in there which has meant the machine has only just been repaired this morning Saturday 3rd April due too staff being of sick and on holiday and also our jobs taking longer to process with the restrictions we have in place within the workplace. He has rang 4 times this morning with no answer or reply i believe he has no spoken with your partner who has been to collect the tool on your behalf. He would still like to speak with you regarding the repair so he can explain the reason your machine failed in the first place. Please also bare in mind we will look after customers who purchase the tools from us first over those that are purchased elsewhere that don`t offer a in house repair service. Many thanks Martin
