Great value and service . However major negative on two recent orders for festool both orders £ 500 or more both items delivered the systainers were she's due to very poor packaging. With tools in such an expensive price range the packing of the tools needs to be of a much higher standard and sustained need to be bubble wrapped before being boxed up for transit. Have reporters both issues however not received replacement sustained. Happy with their pricing however will look elsewhere for further details where they are better packed

The purchase process on the website works fine but the delivery is annoying. I often can’t be here to receive deliveries and because they always make you use a PIN code it means if I don’t hang around for the delivery I may miss it and have to wait for another day. When I’m buying equipment for work I usually need it ASAP so I probably won’t buy from here again unless I have no other delivery options.

Hi Simon. We use the pin code system to prevent fraud from happening im afraid. This is because of the amount of customers that stated non receipt of goods when the courier had left them safe as advised by the customer, but then stated they weren't there. I'm sure you wouldn`t want your order disappearing if you weren`t present upon delivery by the courier.

Very hard to pay. Card from office address. Didn’t want item delivered there. Had to use personal card.

The actual vendor is OK but the delivery method is over bearing and awkward ... dpd require a pin number rather than a passport or driving licence or house sign or a copy if a bill with a postcode on it . Refused to deliver without pin number . Refused to wait while I searched for email ... what absolute rubbish ... a delivery agent that operates on a pin numbercrather than what they can see with their eye balls . Never coming back . You lost a bit of buisness as I am start up landscaper . Bo hard feelings but I will alway go somewhere else now .

Hi Douglas The pin code system has been put it place by ourselves with dpd due to the amount of fraud being committed im afraid. With customers asking for parcel to be left by the couriers and then them going missing. So since this has been put in place this issued has disappeared and the system has been working well. Hi Ed Unfortunately due to the world we live in and people committing fraud against companies. We have had to but this pin code system in place when delivering parcels with DPD. This is due to parcels being left safe and customers advising they haven`t receive them Regards Martin

Great product, great price and a pain in the butt to have delivered with the daft pin system for the delivery man. Had to reschedule 3 times.

Sadly lack of good packaging led to part of the tools case broken. Shouldn’t be the case when buying such an expensive piece of kit.

It’s okay, but delivery time is too long. I ordered something on AliExpress the same day as I ordered on Alan Wadkins and my AliExpress order came one day before Alan Wadkins order. China is moving quicker than UK.

Hi These are shipped exactly how we receive them form the supplier and we never have any issues in the past. Nor have we received an email advising you have an issue with this product.

I would have rated them higher but I don't like being lied to. I bought an item in a sale, which I thought was the Black Friday sale however the following day an extra £10 was taken off the item, which like I said was advertised as on SALE, when I asked if they could reduce the item I was told they couldn't because it was a manufacturer sale. I contacted the manufacturer direct and they assured me in writing that it was entirely at the descression of the retailer! I do not like being lied to. I know it's only £10 but it all matters so since then I have bought more tools from a different supplier and won't use them again

Nothing wrong with Alan Wadkins tool store but the Milwaukee grease gun ends I’ve bought are terrible, more grease out the side of the nipples than anything else

Price was good and confirmation effective. Delivery however was by FedEx which gave me no notice or way of tracking goods. Hence I missed the delivery! I Rang Wadkins sales but they couldn’t tell me when to expect. FedEx say anytime up till 6pm. It would cost Wadkins more to send for tracking/delivery advice. Did come next day but I had to wait at home. Guess it’s okay for a business address!

Liked the tool and the price, tried to checkout 4 times with 2 credit cards but website security stopped it. Immediately bought it elsewhere with same card without any issue. Paid slightly more but didn't have the frustrating checkout.

This will have failed then as the details on your order don`t match to where the card used was registered too, hence it failing our security checks. And without the correct details we aren`t covered by our merchant bank to take the order. Regards Martin

It arrived when it said it would. I've been asked way too early for a review - there's no surprise ordering at this time of year the item is a Christmas present, so it's still in the box and has not been tried yet to see if Alan Wadkins Tool Store have done a good job.

I ordered a festool unit for a domino. The price was good and came in good time. I had no email or communication to say the order was accepted or delivery information. I had to call the company to confirm the order was live etc. They were helpfull when I called but was a pain to have to do and time consuming. Get your communication right guys.

Hi The order confirmation was delivered for the order to the email address you provided and delivered to you at 9.07pm on the 1st Decemeber. Have you looked in your junk box maybe as your system may have blocked the email from coming through?

Said on front page free delivery orders over £75 to uk no where it should’ve said uk mainland only

The only down side was that the two parts of the tool arrived on different days. I had requested next day delivery. But the tool arrived in good condition.

I haven’t had my parcel yet so difficult to review. But I’ve had no information about delivery, just a card through on a random day, and FedEx are massively inflexible with redelivery. Dunno what else to say!

Hi Joseph I have looked into this for you and can see the item was delivered this morning via Fedex. The courier won`t have been able to contact you as you didn`t provide a landline or mobile number on your order for us to add for them. So it would only be a case of you having to rearrange the delivery. once you weren`t in on that day the first attempted. Regards Martin

the website was efficient and user friendly however as the request to write a review was received before the goods have arrived I cannot comment further. All the other questions on the review request are superflous as the purchase was made via the internet and involved no interaction with the company.
