Indian Holidays for festivals not showing, not even major ones Only 3 non-festival holidays show

Hi Meena, Our understanding is that at national level, there are only 3 public holidays. In addition to those 3, each region has lots of other holidays, but they aren't actually deemed as "public holidays", but as restricted holidays. With the restricted holidays, employees aren't guaranteed to get all of those days off, but a subset of them as deemed applicable by employers. We don't want to make any claims about those holidays since it's at an employer's discretion, so they aren't all flagged as public holidays. You can add any additional holidays to your account as needed though, just head to SETTINGS>PUBLIC HOLIDAYS, select the 'country:region' then add the extra dates as required. This is so much better than my old spreadsheet! I now don't have lots of emails from staff changing holidays, asking how many days they have left etc. They have a centralised online system where they can view their own holidays as well as their teams' so they can schedule their time off efficiently. And it's easy for me to look at the colourful schedule and 'approve'.

We swapped to Timetastic from another online holiday and sickness portal because of the clunky feel, and labour intensive year end with unsatisfactory reports. Timetastic, so far, has proven to be a winner with our staff. There are a couple of small tweaks we would appreciate; being able to book TOIL in 1/4's not just half and full days for example.

Timetastic has really helped us all organise Holiday leave as it enables the company to split people into their sections and everyone within a section can see the availabilty on there own phones any time of any day. very simple to use but very effective system.

I love the ability to distinguish between icons to represent travel dates versus travel away or extended vacation that could all occur within one grouping of information. It adds convenience and flexibility within my calendar.

Good platform, would be great if it had a fuction for Hybric workers so you could select days when you are in the office and when are you working from home.

I like timetastic it makes the staff manage their own holiday days and gets rid of a lot of admin and calculations of allowances for management... it's completely tailorable too you can add specific types of days off with what deducts from holiday entitlement and what doesn't. I would like to see some more functionality tho... in Ireland we have mandated statutory paid sick days and there are certain T&Cs that the staff need to adhere to get leave like adding a doc cert for the days off. If the staff could take a pic and upload this to timetastic this would make things even easier again... I know there are many different jurisdictions with different rules for each one throughout the world, and appeasing everyone is going to be very difficult.
