“I had been really looking forward to receiving my first order. The order was very well packed and the tomatoes arrived undisturbed in the box. However, they were very soft upon arrival and the larger varieties needing eating immediately. They had poor flavour.. The smaller varieties were better.. And I did feel that the Heritage tomatoes purchased at Waitrose were better quality and far tastier. The salt was good and the tomato chutney was disappointing in terms of flavour. For the moment I will not be reordering. The order process was so. Ple and prompt.”

“I usually purchase Isle of Wight tomatoes from Ocado and love them. I was hoping that my delivery would be even better. I really wanted to love them but unfortunately they seemed overripe when they arrived and I had to throw some away. I kept them out of the fridge as recommended but the flavour just wasn’t as I’d expected and mould developed on some of the stems. I’m still searching for the flavour I remember from home grown tomatoes as a child. So sorry to be negative and unfortunately I won’t be purchasing again”

“I would have given 5 stars for the wonderful flavour and variety of the tomatoes but they arrived earlier than I’d asked and were for someone’s birthday so disappointed that they were over ripe”

“Disappointed as items ordered Tuesday arrived on Saturday and had wanted them for dinner on friday. At least I am aware they take longer than stated as second (of 2) time this has happened. Asparagus lovely and fresh and tasty and peppers- tomatoes a mixed bunch some delicious other bland and tasteless but roasted and tatted up and lovely - so all in all happy ending!”

“The package turned up and the box fo tomatoes looked beautiful. The only problem was that some of the tomatoes were over ripe. The large beef tomato was very squashed and had to be eaten immediately! Some of the other variants were over swell...”

“Was really excited about receiving my selection of tomatoes. However they were a bit too ripe, so some had exploded and some had mould on them. As a result we had to use what was left super quick. I expected them to last a week. I love the idea and variety and they were super tasty. I would order again but maybe not the heritage box, as they didn’t last long.”

“The Tomatoes were wonderful, apart from some being very over ripe and squished. However we only lost 2. They wouldn’t last as long as they say. Should be consumed within 3 days not 7”

“A little disappointed this time. I sent an option to leave the parcel by the garage in the shade. Dpd driver didn’t get the message so took it away- this does happen sometimes evidently. When it was delivered quite a lot of the small tomatoes had burst. Maybe it was stored somewhere very warm?? I don’t know. But what the delivery man did say is that it should state food/perishables whatever on the box so they are obliged to leave it that day. 😢😢”

“I love the tomatoes but would prefer not to receive so many soft ones. Some feel as they have been picked a long time ago. When cut they fall apart sometimes.”

“I love your products but the packaging of the tomatoes is not ideal for me. I have ordered 3 or 4 tomato boxes so far and I can say that each box had maybe 10% of the tomatoes squashed. Unfortunately I don't have any photos but I'm happy to capture next time.”

“Currently it is making me very unhappy. Recently your trays of medium size tomatoes are half tasty red and half tasteless yellow. As a result we have stopped buying your tomatoes and until you have trays of red only we will shop elsewhere. The seller on your Barnes stall tells me has many similar complaints .”

“I was pleased with most of the tomatoes’ quality and tastes, although the beef tomatoes were a big letdown. Unfortunately I had to put into the compost bin 3 beef tomatoes 🍅.. as they were mouldy .”

“I cannot fault your products. Tomatoes are amazingly tasty and I have never tasted such a good selection outside the south of France! Unfortunately the delivery has been your downfall, and twice my box has arrived damaged or upside down and some of the goods were squashed. I complained and got a £2.75 voucher, which to be honest is quite petty on a 3 kilos box.”
