Most of the tomatoes on this box were very soft .. some bruised The 1 large “beef” tomato .. when cut open was all sloshy inside .. far from firm which it should’ve been It went in the bin Like my other purchase .. I ended up blitzing the lot to use as a base for an Italian tomato sauce .. at least I got some use out them Will not buy again

A lot of the tomatoes were over ripe, one was split.

Nae flavour. Bland tomatoes and one of the Coeur de Boeuf was moldy had to bin it.

Unfortunately several tomatoes were squashed and although the rest looked lovely I was disappointed in how little time they went off. The aubergine was lovely.

Arrived on the turn :-( really disappointed. Possibly fault of the courier. They would have been lovely tomatoes though!

Really wanted to love this service but there was a bit of damage to the tomatoes on arrival, and lots of little flies around those which had split. Mainly the smaller cherry toms, the big beef ones seemed more robust. That said the ones we had were delicious, was a shame we had to reject quite a few, as I love the idea. May have to grow my own or hope local farm shop gets some nice heritage varieties in.

The service and delivery were okay, i.e. the correct products were delivered on the right day. Beyond that, though, it was unimpressive. Quite a number of the tomatoes had to be thrown away because they were rotten from the outset. Worse still, though, ALL were over-ripe and as such, the distinctively different flavour of the different varieties - which is the whole point of heritage tomatoes - was lost. I cannot believe that an apparently specialist tomato retailer seems to think that everyone wants over-ripe excessively sweet tomatoes. I certainly don't, which is why I won't be ordering from here again.

Hello, Last year The Tomato Stall delivery service was absolutely fab. I've just placed my first order of 2023 and I was promised delivery by the weekend (by Amy) but it's now Tuesday and our tomatoes and padron peppers and tomato juice are still missing! I'm hoping normal service will resume very soon.

I really love the products, particularly the tomato juice, but sadly I hate the delivery process. So many smashed bottles and messy boxes to clear up. Yes they refund but I would rather have the product with no fuss. Why does it continue to happen? Is it the packing , or is it the carrier or both? My final order even had a discount because of a previous damaged order and that last order arrived all smashed up! Sadly you have lost my custom.

The heritage box looked good but on inspection, 24 of the tomatoes were split or damaged, plus at least 10 more were so overripe and very delicate, but the most disappointing thing was the taste poor flavour and no depth. In the end I used all the tomatoes and made some soup.

Most of the tomatoes were too soft, over ripe lot of the split open, only a little vine of the cherry ones were any good.little peppers were lovely and not tried the jars of sauces yet.

An excellent idea but poor performance. I ordered 3 deliveries of 3kg organic tomato box to a friend's address The delivery status notes were sent to me not to her The recipient had to call The Tomato box to complain because many tomatoes were old or crushed After the first delivery I was charged £5.50 extra for the next one. I can't complete the next questions as the tomatoes were not delivered to me I have the choice of submitting as Mrs Maureen Thorne or Anonymous I have to tick Mrs Thorne even though I, Peter Trickey, placed the order and am paying for it.

The garlic was good. The tomato box was very underwhelming, mostly very sweet pretty looking but lacking good taste. Quite a few were damaged. I was hoping for that wonderful taste of tomato that you get in southern Europe, which don't always look perfect but taste great. The look of tomatoes sold in this country seems to be the most important thing and high sweetness. Where have all the delicious tomatoes gone ? My mother's homegrown smelt wonderful and tasted of tomato, so it is possible to grow in southern England.

The tomatoes are delicious. But I've never had a delivery from DPD where I didn't find tomatoes smashed. Last delivery I got half of them totally crushed. Customer service is not great either, unfortunately.

Wouldn’t order again The tomatoes where spilt on arrival and in turn they had gone over the next day. The padron peppers where really good

Sadly produce quality has deteriorated massively. I recommended you to many last year but last few orders over ripe and very bruised.

Really hoped this would be a good find however I’m really sorry to say that many were over ripe/soft and over half were squashed entirely in a very soggy box 😢

Unfortunately last 3 deliveries have not been to usual standard. Tomatoes used to keep really well for up 2 - 3 weeks but recently have been soft on delivery. Very few have been suitable for salads so I have had to make sauces and freeze. So disappointed as I had previously recommended to others. I will have to try to buy smaller quantities locally
