“Social cat was great when I was actually able to see the campaigns. As a UGC creator, I don't make my social following a priority, since brands do not require me to post to my audience. Since Social Cat changed there follower guidelines, I can no longer see any campaigns at all even though I am in the middle of a paid collaboration and have completed campaigns on Social Cat in the past. Very disappointing. Creators that were already on the platform should have been grandfathered in.”

“I love the idea of this! I did one collaboration for a free service recently, and it went well for both parties. The only feedback I have is regarding the value of the product or service compared to what the brand is asking for. For example, some brands ask for a Reel plus full content rights in exchange for a $20 product. That isn't a fair trade. One company wanted to work with me, but because I couldn’t reply to their messages for four days, they deleted our conversation. I hope that brands don’t get too greedy and try to take advantage of content creators; that is something Social Cat should pay more attention to.”

“I tried socialcat just for the trial period. I was looking specifically for content creators who would work on a gifted basis only and who were of South Asian heritage. I found surprisingly very few that met that criteria. Of the content creators I did match with, several of them became completely unresponsive or kept asking for things that weren't offered to them, so I ended up in the end having fewer than 3 who delivered any content. The 2 creators who did create content for me didn't generate any new followers or sales for me, so there was no ROI. I liked their content and am pleased SocialCat includes a permanent license to use their content on our website and socials. So, perhaps in the longer term it will be helpful.”

“Big fan of Social Cat. They connect us to wonderful micro influencers. But they don’t do anything to ensure that these influencers respond to businesses in a timely fashion. Feels like a poorly run dating app than a professional way to meet influencers. Really wish they’d remove influencers that 1) don’t respond, 2) don’t complete what they’ve committed to, and 3) drag on the conversation. I cancelled my subscription as a result of connecting to horribly unprofessional influencers for a month. These influencers overpower the amazing connections I have made. Would come back to the platform if they ensured these unprofessional folks were removed.”

“I’ve had a mixed experience using Social Cat. On the positive side, the platform makes it easy to connect with brands and secure collaborations. The interface is straightforward, and there are real opportunities available. However, my recent experience highlighted a major gap in creator protection. I completed a paid collaboration in full accordance with the agreed terms and provided the brand with the live content. The brand then requested additional deliverables that were not part of the contract and withheld payment when those were not provided. I escalated the issue through Social Cat, and while they confirmed they contacted the brand, there was no enforcement mechanism to ensure payment or resolution. After the situation was addressed on the platform, the brand then left a retaliatory review, which I was informed could not be removed. I also requested escalation within Social Cat and was told there was no one further to speak with. This experience raised concerns for me about how disputes are handled and what protections exist for creators when a brand does not honor a contract. I would currently rate the platform 3.5/5 — useful for opportunities, but lacking meaningful enforcement or safeguards for creators in payment disputes. Creators should proceed with caution and ensure they are fully protected outside of the platform when entering agreements.”

“This has potential. But we signed up for the highest plan for the month and I would say half of the creators ghosted uS AFTER we gave them free product. To me; they should be getting kicked off the site. So we lost a lot of money unfortunately. I’m going to try it another month to see if I can be a bit pickier with my selections.”

“So far, after two months, my experience is all over the map. Having contracted gifted collabs with seven influencers, three posted great content quickly while four have pretty much ghosted me after recieving our products. I plan to ride it out a few more weeks and then apply basic ROMI calculations for all seven to guage true results.”

“A seven-day free trial is not enough time to actually test the product. It's just an easy way to get someone to buy a monthly membership. Learning to use the platform, setting up a profile, matching/ finding an influencer, and shipping/ content cration takes up to three weeks. There should be more transparency and at least a month free.”

“Giving a neutral review as we only had a one week trial. During that trial, we made contact with 3 people. One person did a gifted collaboration for us and did a nice job. One person received the gifted product and then stopped responding. One person stopped responding before we we sent a product- and we were not able to make contact with another during the trial period. The trial week is restrictive in what you can do- limits on the number of contacts making it hard to really evaluate the value of subscribing. We decided not to subscribe.”

“We’re new to Social Cat and see a lot of potential here. My hope is to be part of improving this platform to a true 5-star experience by helping refine the vetting process for creators. Our first round was a mix — some creators took nearly a month to post, others ignored follow-ups, and one even posted political content on a very charged topic, which doesn’t work for our brand. That said, about 50% of our collaborations so far have been solid outcomes, with great content and authentic alignment. If the platform can tighten up creator reliability and screening, this could become an outstanding tool for brands.”

“It was both good and bad. Some influencers were very good at getting back to you and being proactive while others were nonresponsive whether after they showed interest and even when I sent them my product and I never heard from them. I feel those influencers need to be flagged and put on probation.”
