While the clients were wonderful to work with, Social Cat itself was challenging to work with. On a handful of occasions my account would randomly disconnect and require additional verifications, disrupting workflows. Despite the fact that I'm a current Social Cat client with all 5 star reviews and very positive feedback from brands thus far, I was recently "rejected" from the system without reason, simply saying my application (which had been approved several months prior) was rejected. Creators, be wary of working with Social Cat as your brand relationships could be severed at any time without explanation.

So far, for my first campaign, only 1 of the 3 people I selected delivered on what was expected. One has not responded after I sent her free items and the other keeps delaying. Not please.

This company thieves and scams! They will charge you for money you didn’t agree to and without warning. Also, some of the influencers will steal your product when bringing these things to Social Cat’s attention they ghost. I do not recommend them and have filed a complaint with my bank and other agencies.

Lots of accounts with fake followers. No real engagement. In addition to that, they charged my account incorrectly two times in a row. While they were quick to fix the errors in billing, it doesn’t make up for the hours spent trying to fix it. The messaging interface is confusing and causes a lot of miscommunications.

Seems like a good idea, but there is no recourse if an "influencer" accepts product but never produces any posts/reels/stories/whatever you agreed on in your contract. I lost hundreds of dollars of product on a match that didn't post a thing- we are now far past the deadline. No response from Social Cat after I contacted them about the issue. You are basically on your own and have to hope that your matches are honest.

I'd give Social Cat 0 starts if I could. I'm really disappointed and this was a waste of my money. 1. The pricing structure was not the same as I saw advertised on Facebook. 2. I got lots of opportunities for the first week, but then it petered out and I wasn't even able to find ten people to collaborate with. 3. Lots of the creators were unresponsive after I accepted the matches. 4. It's really expensive for not a lot of outcome. 5. Of the 10 matches I could have had, 3 posted content, 3 have been shipped product and are unresponsive, and the last 4 didn't respond to the match. Which basically means that of the 10 I paid for, I got 3 AND lost money on sending product to another 3. 6. When you cancel, you lose everything - you can't even finish the collabs you were in the middle of, so if you've shipped products, it's just money down the drain. DO NOT sign up for this company.

As for cancellations, while brands have the option to cancel their subscription fully, we also offer a Pause subscription option that provides continued access to certain platform features. I 100% don't like the fact that I lose access to the content creators I've already paid for once I pause my account. The videos and interactions that I made should always be avalyaibe If I purchased that number of connections. We plan on moving to a different service not because your service is bad but because we have no plans to make investments in time, money, and influencers on a platform that holds our investments hostage.

So only one influencer posted me out of the 4 I chose. Anne Hoffmaster, Alexandra Tran, and Mashie, Pargevuni never responded after agreeing on posting and I sent them my product. I'm going to be canceling my subscription.

I can see where this service might be good for some small businesses but it was definitely NOT for mine. Out of the 15 or so "influencers" I contacted 3 made half way decent content. 2 made stories that went away before I was even aware they were up. 2 had to be reminded after a month to actually post anything and 1 walked away with my product and I have yet to see anything. The others either wanted to be paid or sent horrendous "content" that was no where near usable. I will not be using this company again and will not recommend it to anyone I know. The level of "influencer" on this site is highly lacking.

I am sorry to hear your experience was not good enough; this is not what we'd like to hear from our customers, and we admit we need to do a better job, in some aspects. However, please see some of our points below: 1. Regarding the content that was not up to your standards, unfortunately, you have not used our tools to get help. If the content created is not of high quality, you can always report a creator for this, and our team will jump in to help. Please check the article below to learn more about this feature that you have access to: help.thesocialcat.com/article/84-i-am-unhappy-with-a-collaboration-can-i-report-this Unfortunately, if we're unaware of this and the influencers are not reported, we cannot help at all. We designed this system to provide help, but we cannot provide much if not used. 2. Content guidelines I looked over the conversations with the influencers, and I do not see any guidelines or discussions around the content or deliverables with the influencers. A best practice here is to guide the influencers and let them know how you would like this collaboration to look. Otherwise, influencers will do what they think it's best, and sometimes, like in this case, this does not match your expectations. The brands usually let influencers know what they are looking for specifically. Unfortunately, we understand we did not do a good job, but also we believe our tools could have been used better to obtain a better result. Our team will reach out via email to chat more about this. A good platform but didn’t feel right for by business, the quality of matches was not great and not a good fit for my business. Feels like a waste of time and money. I most likely could have found the x3 matches I ended up with (out of a couple of hundred) myself . More suited to fashion or beauty I would say

As of now, indeed, I would say we're very suitable for e-commerce businesses in the fashion and beauty niche, but we also cover many others like skincare, lifestyle, and more. On the brand side -- social cat is unable to decipher between real and fake engagement. This means creators with ACTUAL, genuine engagement fall behind people buying their likes, views, and followers. Furthermore, I have not interacted with this site for months -- this means that Social Cat doesn't even screen for active users.

Our process of deciphering between real and fake engagement is made manually; our team checks each influencer that signs up on the platform. It is easier to spot the ones with fake engagement than genuine engagement. On the subject of verifying if brands like yours are active, unfortunately, that is something that depends on you as a brand. We send regular emails (Daily Digest, reminders, and notifications) to your Inbox, and on top of this, brands get two monthly reminders about the subscription. It's pretty hard not to know you have an active subscription with us, which can be canceled anytime, no questions asked. We thank you for your feedback and welcome more of it anytime!

Social Kat paused my account after not responding to a brand over a holiday weekend. Social Kat proceeded to email me and ask me why I didn’t respond to the brand over the holiday weekend and I gave a very in depth explanation, which I’m assuming they didn’t care for because my account was never reactivated and I never received a response. The good new is, I don’t need the Social Kat to connect with brands and neither do you! :)

The influencers available were only Instagram accounts that all followed each other and commented on each other’s accounts so no real exposure. Two of my influencers are over a month late with posting. Review system allows the influencer to see how you reviewed them immediately, so even if you do everything right, and they just weren’t great, you’re hesitant to review them because they might review you poorly out of spite.

As I can see here, you are not quite happy with the services we provide, and I think it is normal to do the following: 1. I already refunded the payment into your account; there is no point in charging you for something that did not bring value to you. 2. I emailed you to learn more about this and possibly jump on a short call to talk more about this. We are well aware that our review system needs a bit of work to get where it should be; as of now, this is an early version of it, and we need to work more on it, so I completely agree with you. We already banned the influencers that did not post the content for you, as we got in touch with them and tried to have the campaigns up and running. The funny part is because we banned them, we also got a negative review from one of them. *Edit* I have revised my review as I felt the 2 stars was too much after the response to it, I don't believe the correct way to get a better review is to message someone telling them why their opinions wrong, and then basically demand for a better review because of your own. I don't get many matches and most of the ones I do get either don't respond or don't send anything.

Hi Demi, Thanks so much for this review and we are sorry you are not getting a lot of matches so far with us, so far. We just had a look at your account and so far you only got 6 matches with us. Sometimes, even after a match, a brand can decide not to go on with the collaboration, for various reasons. Same with the creators. Unfortunately, we cannot control that on our end and force someone to work with a specific creator. What I do strongly encourage you is to spend more time with us and see what other opportunities might arise, as we do have brands signing up with us every single day, so I am 100% sure something will arise. At the same time, I do strongly encourage you to work on a constant basis on your account, in order to improve the engagement rate, the quality of your content and other things brands look at. So far, it looks great, but obviously this is an ongoing process.
