We remain the most affordable platform on the market for Social Media collabs, but of course, price is subjective and not everyone will feel the same way.

“I have been using Social Cat for a few weeks now as both a creator and a brand. I wanted to see how both sides work. It's a great tool to faciltate introductions. It is free as a creator to use and a paid service if youy are a brand. I'm not 100% the value is there as a brand as the fee is quite high. And if issues arise between brand and creator, then you are on your own to sort it out.”

“Social Cat has been very helpful to me as a creator to collaborate with brands. The only thing that bothers me is that the company is very focused on the brands, not as much on the creators. The ads are offensive, showcasing creators as usable, creating a mindset that favors taking advantage of them. I also don't like that there are very few options for filtering opportunities and organizing messages.”

“There are some good opportunities if you are small and want gifting. However, the user experience is quite a challenge. Perhaps the company will get some support to start an app. I think it will help to streamline things.”

“The trial period is great although you need to email support if you want to keep your account active without paying so that you can see your collabs through. Of the 4 creators we shipped product to, two of them created acceptable content, one was very elementary, and one completely ghosted us. I'd imagine it takes longer than the 7-day trial to sift through their search results to find quality creators.”

“My experience was fine. I did the free trial and one month at the second tier. I had one campaign and ended up completing 2 full collaboration, sent 3 gifts out and one creator completely ghosted me and never completed discussed deliverables. I have a specific audience due to my price point and the “applicants” (for the most part) did not match my audience needs. Also, some that show up as applied on my end had no interest in actually working with me or seemed like they hadn’t really even applied. Very expensive for what it accomplishes and for a niche brand would prefer to just find the partners organically.”

While we strive to facilitate connections and thoroughly vet each creator, it's important to note we can't oversee every aspect of the collaborations or vouch for everyone's professionalism. However, please know that we take this matter seriously, which is why we have a process in place that automatically sends a series of reminder emails to creators once the posting date has passed. If they remain unresponsive or fail to fulfill their collaborations, it may result in their being banned from our platform to prevent similar situations in the future. Also, we have a Search tool that allows you to filter creators that will match your preference so that you can directly invite them to join your campaign. 🙏

“I have been using social cat for a month. I’ve met some nice influencers I’ve also met some lazy ones and some scam artist who took my product and told me she didn’t receive it but UPS says she did receive it and she signed for it. I reported it and no one got back to me I’m considering changing to another influencer group because I’d rather pay more money and get better quality influencers to work with.”

“While the platform is great for offering a variety of brand deals to creators, one major drawback is the lack of paid collaborations outside of commission-based opportunities. Many creators, myself included, want to be compensated for the time and effort put into creating content, as commission alone isn’t always guaranteed income. When I signed up, I expected more flat-fee collaborations, so it’s a bit disappointing that those are limited. Overall, Social Cat is a good platform, but more options for upfront, guaranteed payments would make it much better for creators.”

“Opportunities all sound great but responses from the companies are pretty low. Also the opportunities don’t seem to update super frequently so you run out of things to apply for. But so far the brands and products I’ve worked with have been great”

“I like Social Kat for its easy-to-navigate website and the requirement for companies to provide campaign details. Some companies don’t provide enough information, which I think hurts them, but overall, Social Kat stands out in this regard compared to other platforms. However, there are significant drawbacks. Businesses can mislead creators from the beginning, have them sign a contract, and then change or add deliverables afterward. When this happens, creators cannot cancel the contract unless the business agrees to do it on their end. If they do, the business must provide a reason, which by default results in the creator receiving a one-star review, even though the business was at fault. Additionally, creators have no ability to review the business and warn others. This situation leaves me feeling uncertain about using Social Kat, as I never know when or who might display misconduct, potentially damaging my reputation unfairly.”

“It is a good platform but it has kinks to work out and it needs an actual method of contacting someone for assistance (I couldn't find one). There are issues with really quick deadlines being enforced that aren't part of the deal, where they threaten to remove you as a creator, but the brand isn't expecting content and is totally fine with the deadline discussed. I also think their average impressions per post is skewed, if you have hundreds of posts it should calculate more recent posts indicative of your current engagement rate to reflect your current worth to brands. The average seems off.”

“The Social Cat app for brands to find micro influencers is OKay. It feels like all the nuts and bolts are in place, but overall it's a little clunky. It seems to have been designed for a specific workflow, but it's just needs some improvement to help influencers and brands have a very clear checklist and be accountable to keep things moving. The inbox is buggy as hell, content never loads so most influencers just communicate outside the app. There's no way to pay inside the app, so it's all a bit weird. It's a LONG way from being a streamlined product like Fiverr or Upwork - the team really needs to look at these as a north star. The biggest beef however is just the way Social Cat markets their product - constantly saying $10 per collaboration or $99 a month for 10 ads, etc. That price is only to connect with influencers, not actually paying them on average $100+ per video. Trust is important with customers, be more transparent right up front from marketing to product.”

“I had issues with later delivery from influencers. I reached out to the social cat team a few times but there was a delay in responding to my concerns about this. I only wanted a one month package, but I will have to pay for an extra month in order to actually get delivery of the content that is arriving late.”

“Good if you’re a new content creator and need to learn how influencing works. Good customer service if brand is slow to pay. However, rates are very low and creators aren’t allowed to negotiate with brand.”

“It’s ok but there should be more options for payment for the creators. Some of the brands are asking for very in depth briefs and expect a lot for a gifted collab. There should be an option for all creators to be paid. Making content isn’t free.”
