Ordered 3 tapes on Tuesday afternoon. Was surprised they did not ship out until the Wednesday. Courier cocked up and did not arrive until Friday. I called to ask for a refund on my next day delivery costs. Received a call back within 2 hours with an apology and details of why my delivery had arrived late. I also received a refund for the next day delivery costs. Not perfect but good service and the chap that called back had reviewed the problem meaning I did not need to explain myself again. We all have problems with couriers and this is out of a suppliers control. All in all the service was good and I would order from The Tape Store again. The tapes arrived well packed and went to work immediately.

Hi Martin, thank you for your review and your kind words. As you say, whilst we dispatched your goods on time, clearly our courier made a mistake here. We are currently in the process of reviewing the couriers we use and have asked them to review their practices. 99.5% of our courier deliveries arrive perfectly on time but, as you suggested, as with any business mistakes do happen. If our couriers can't reassure us that they will be addressing this we will be looking to switch suppliers quite quickly. As a minor point we do make it clear on our website (on each product's page and at the basket/checkout) that any orders placed after 2pm will be despatched the next working day. Your order came through at 2.51pm on the 26th so was actually despatched on time on the 27th and wasn't scheduled for delivery until Thursday. Hello Colin, many thanks for leaving a review - I'm glad the product and delivery schedule was to your satisfaction. I'm very sorry to hear that the courier was rude to your receptionist - that's simply not good enough. Whilst they are a separate company we take the actions of the firms we use very seriously indeed and will be straight in touch with them after the bank holiday. I'll be submitting a formal complaint and asking that the driver be spoken to about their actions. I hope this doesn't taint your view of The Tape Store. I made a mistake on the order (probably my fault, as I am not always good with online ordering). I thought that I had ordered one better quality tape, but found that I have ended up with two cheaper ones. It seems to work OK, so I was not going to try and alter it - more trouble than it is worth? You were very quick. Roger Fairclough

Hello Roger, many thanks for your kind words. I've just checked and you definitely added 2 no. Stanley 0-34-262 30m closed case fibreglass tapes to your basket. I placed my order at 1:29pm on Wednesday and paid extra for next day delivery only to not have the order verified until the following day and receipt of my order on Friday. I could find no note on the website advising of 'next day delivery if ordered before XX time'. This was a time pressured item which is why I had elected to use this site over another; I won't be making that mistake again.

Hello Emma, apologies you've had a bad experience with your order. However, I think there has been some sort of misunderstanding here. I personally called your office on the day you placed your order to explain that we had a slight problem with the other that would delay delivery by one day. I left a message for you but didn't receive a response back. Had we heard back back we would've known the order was time critical and could've cancelled it, giving you the opportunity to source your tapes elsewhere in sufficient time. Because we didn't hear back from you we had to assume that you still needed the tapes so dispatched them the very next day as you suggested. As a side note, however, we do make our shipping deadlines clear on every product page, on our delivery page and at the basket/checkout. Hopefully you can see that we made every attempt to get in touch with you at the time of ordering to explain the issue. I have refunded your postage as a gesture of good faith but can assure you that we did try to resolve this at the time of ordering. Bought a 30m tape for setting out. Usually have fisco ones but they seem quite dear nowadays. Got one of the Komeleon ones instead. Alot more compact than the fisco one I had before. All looks good. Will see how it lasts. But to be honest the fisco ones rust the ends off with lots of use.

Fantastic service!! I placed my order outside the deadline for next day delivery and it still arrived by courier next day. I received an email to say that it was shipped but I didn't believe it so I rang them to check. A gentleman rang me back after he had contacted UPS, to confirm that it was indeed shipped and now out for delivery. Brilliant. Service with a smile. :) Thank you!
