“Slightly deceiving in price from what you first see when you search it to what you pay at the end but apart from that good quality product and a prompt service done an dusted in around two weeks log book included (at an extra cost) but it is optional you can choose to do that yourself..”

“i recently purchased my private plate from this company, my overall experience was good as i received my plate within two days of purchase however, the price advertised as i browsed drastically doubled after all the fees were paid e.g. transfer fee. Not only this, but i had to pay an additional £8 for "special delivery" which was requested from the company in my confirmation email, resulting in my £150 (approx) plate costing almost £400. i understand fees must be paid and thank the company for taking care of the transfer with me only sending proof of owning the vehicle, but this price rise was unexpected. i am overall pleased with my plate and its sleek look and will be sure to use The Private Plate Company if i purchase another.”

Thanks for your review. The standard price was £273.79 and you then chose recorded delivery for the supply of the certificate. When you reached the options page, you chose number plates with a black border at £28.80 and our transfer service fee at £20 plus VAT. As a result of your options, we took the recorded delivery charge off your order as it was not necessary and charged your card £326.79 in total. ( Not £400 as mentioned ) The total charge for your number plates and our service to arrange the transfer was £52.80 and not £150.00 as you also mentioned. We completed the transfer to your car within 2 days of your documents arriving.

“Easy to do online. Friendly and helpful staff. Only thing was thought paid everything but extra charge for processing to DVLA only 19.99 wasn't to bad but was explained in detail by staff. Thank you.”

“priced fairly and the time taken to swap details with the dvla was fast however attaching the plate certificate to the email that states the plates are ready to be put onto the car is not ideal as i had no plates to put on when the details changed”
