“My Amusing Adventure with the Teensy 4.1, PSRAM Chips, and a Dazzling E-Paper Display Let me set the scene: it was a grey afternoon, the sort that calls for a good cup of tea and a spot of ambitious tinkering. Enter The PiHut, a veritable paradise for those of us who can never have too many microcontrollers, mysterious chips, or screens that look suspiciously like something out of a futuristic spy film. Speedy Teensy, No Strings (or Pins) Attached I started out with the Teensy 4.1 – No Ethernet, Without Pins (because who needs pins when you’ve got dreams?). This little powerhouse arrived looking as eager as a puppy at a squirrel convention, ready to be programmed and put through its paces. And let me tell you, it’s fast enough to outrun my attention span. No Ethernet? No problem! I can barely keep up with it over USB as it is. Extra Memory: Because I Forget Things Of course, a Teensy is nothing without a good memory – something I wish I had myself. That’s why I bought not one, but two PSRAM Chips for the Teensy 4.1. Installing them made me feel like a top surgeon performing a high-stakes brain transplant, but with less blood and more static electricity. Now my projects can remember all sorts of things, like how many times I’ve accidentally soldered my fingers together. The E-Paper Display: Black, White, and Read All Over (Eventually) Rounding out my order was the 4.2" E-Paper Display Module for Raspberry Pi Pico. There’s something magical about e-paper – it’s like normal paper, but it listens to you and never runs out of ink. The 400 x 300 resolution makes my code look positively elegant, almost as if I actually know what I’m doing. Plus, it’s covered in black and white, which stylishly matches my décor (and my mood during debugging sessions). The PiHut Experience: Five Stars, Would Buy Again (and Again...) From start to finish, The PiHut delivered the goods with panache. Fast shipping, well-packed parcels, and not a bent pin in sight. If you’re looking for a shop that understands the true meaning of “just one more microcontroller”, look no further. My only regret is not buying more – but there’s always next payday. In summary: The PiHut is the kind of place where dreams are assembled, pins are optional, and your desk slowly disappears beneath marvellous, blinking gadgets. Highly recommended for tinkerers, code wranglers, and anyone who secretly suspects their toaster might be the next big IoT project.”
