“I ordered a micro:bit and a robot kit from The Pi Hut as a Christmas present for my nephew and couldn’t be happier with the purchase. The packaging and components look fantastic — solid, well-made, and thoughtfully designed. The price was excellent for what you get, and it feels like great value. Honest confession: it’s taking all my willpower not to unpack it and play with it myself! This set should provide hours of fun and learning for him. “Quick delivery, as always from Pi Hut. Before buying this I did some research and Arduino claimed that you can be up and running in 5 minutes. However in reality it will take a fair bit longer. I plugged it into my computer and fired up the App Lab. and started the setup i was informed that updates were available, I clicked for it to proceed and waited 5 minutes only to be told updating had failed and I needed to update the firmware, OK, so I do this which took another 5 or 6 minutes. Started the setup again and tried to update which again took 5 mins before saying it had failed. a couple of reboots later and I got to finish the setup and updates. In total 30-35 mins. After this the uno Q has performed well and I am looking forward to getting some projects up and running. From what I have read this is not an isolaed case. So be aware as the initial setup can be frustrating, however once operational the uno Q shows promise. Hopefully the setup glitches will be ironed out in future releases. Not a Raspberry Pi killer at the moment but future models may push the Pi.”
