“I've always used these guys. I'd be very surprised if you havent heard of this company but if you haven't, and you're reading this, let me tell you i've never had a problem with them. There prices are often cheaper compared to the other places.”

“I bought a raspberry pi 5 and a protodock. Both are fine and came quickly. The protodock was easy to assemble, despite some comments to the contrary that I have seen, and it holds the pi and breadboard together nicely. I did not buy a power supply as I thought i had several spare, but I hadn't taken on board that the pi5 can only really be powered with a USB C supply, and prefers 5 amps. I then bought a 30watt supply from another retailer only to find that it can only do 3 Amps. Some clearer explanation of the issues might help other customers (and increase sales?) as vauge warnings about "compatibility" are easily ignored (by me at least). I did not buy an hdmi cable, as I thought I could run it headless, but added one to my power supply order so I am not sure that it is possible any more but I will try that eventually. At present the pi seems a bit slow, but I suspect that is because I don't have a disk attached. My TV does "overscanning" (and it cannot be switched off) which is a pain. I think the on-line guidance to circumvent this issue is all out of date.”
