“Case: Instead of 10mm bolts as specified, the package contained 8mm bolts, making it impossible to fix the raspberry pi's to the plates. Extremely loud fans. Would not recommend.”

“I am completely new to Raspberry Pi and ordered what I thought we needed for a project to work on with my 9 year-old son. Unfortunately, I ordered a small touchscreen with I now realise is not compatible with a Raspberry Pi 5 (only with a Pico). Whilst I accept I made the mistake, I do think that the PiHut has a responsibility to make product descriptions as clear as possible to help complete beginners not make mistakes (and, in my case, waste £21.60). It's a bit of a minefield for non-techie parents like myself which unfortunately makes me nervous about ordering anything else.”

“The machine worked fine, delivery was quick, setup was easy. I however wasn't abe to install all Pyton packages on it that I needed. Set up Ubuntu 23.10, same problem with some Python packages. I will need to find some other purpose for this machine or just put it on the shelf...”

“The item arrived promptly. However, the description is not completely correct! The Pi Hut description stated.... "This device is based on SI1145, a new sensor from SiLabs....." Apparently this is not correct! I had major issues trying to get any data out of this device. I am told the reason is that the Grove-Sunlight Sensor V2.0 is actually based on the SI1151. This meant wasting huge amounts of time working with libraries that don't work with the SI1151. There are also demo sketches around that were I believe based on the old chip (SI1145) that won't work with the new V2.0 Sunlight sensor. All in all it has been a very bad experience trying to get any "useful" information from Seeed at all. At the very least I expected to get a device working with bug-free libraries and a "working" example. Only with much research and basically mixing and matching my code with available libraries did I evenyually get something out of an Arduino Nano!! Thus far I don't have a working version for the Seeed XIAO despite several emails to Seeed. Since they are also the maunfacturers of the Sunlight sensor I am very disappointed.”

“They didn't include one of my items (which they refunded per my request rather than sending one item overseas to USA). Also, I was buying a raspberry pi 5 for USA order, and I checked their recommended box for the power supply with a tiny thumbnail view of it. I failed to notice that it was a UK power supply. Not worth returning overseas. Seems like if they are supporting the USA, their website should catch that error or make it more obvious what you are getting (thumbnail is too small to see the different 3-prong plug).”

“I had to spend 24.76 euros in the process ... I believe with local Amazon store you don't pay cross countries fees so ... it ended up with me paying the device way more than anticipated. I understand this is not inherently a PiHut issue, but imho these fees should be mentioned and capitalized in everything you sell when the address is provided ... with a scary warning or something, so that this complain wouldn't exist. I believe this is the second time I got fooled by my country's (Italy at the moment) fees around "theoretically cheap" hardware, but as (once again) in other stores I didn't have this surprise, and also "lucky me I was at my flat with the right amount of cash that day", I am afraid I will stay away from your store in the future. The device works though so ... at least there's that. The packaging? very, very breakage-prone, I feel lucky about the fact no damage (that I know) happened.”

“Arrvied promptly and well packaged. Cannot get the pi 3 to recognise the 3-Axis Digital Accelerometer Unit (ADXL345) despite connecting using the grove cables through the base hat for pi. So pretty much a waste of money, should have just bought the basic version from amazon and wired it myself.”

“Ordered new version of Pi and it took over Two months to arrive. Issue is you can not cancel a order so this missed the birthday i bought it for as it arrived too late. Now i have to pay to post it back so not impressed.”

“Expecting a delivery in September, nothing arrived until two days before Christmas. No indication it was going to arrive or was not. In fact, only a single update email was provided in October and that was it. Had to arrange an additional gift because of the dreadful lack of communication by The PiHut. Products are good, but the ability to let people know what is going on is extremely poor.”

“It would have been a present for my family, but I am sad as it didn't arrive in time. My order was sent by you on 10th of December and I supposed to receive it before Christmas. It is held on custons from 20th of December.”

“Still not received order #1117129. Every other order has been delivered perfectly and on time. This one was a present for a family member so not going to be able to give it to them on the day which is unfortunate. I understand its likely due to Christmas delivery volume. Tracking number on royal mail says they are waiting to receive the item so not sure where the hold up is. As I said, normally a stellar service though.”

“I finnally received my raspberry pi 5. I cannot test it right away because it was not possible to buy the power supply at the same time. My package box was crushed. I don't know if I must blame DHL because the box was wrapped in tape in the envelope obviously before shipping. Pi box and pi case box. The pi itself looks fine. However I cannot test it right now. Please ensure the packaging integrity. I waited a long time for to get the pi 5.”
