After ordering for two weeks but no response, I sent an email to the company asking about my order. But it has been a month now and I still have not received any response from the company.

Your order was shipped via FedEx and is reported as delivered 6 March - a delivery confimation photo is available via the FedEx tracking. We have emailed you several times regarding your delivery, however, your email service provider's server is not returning a "delivered" response - possibly indicating an issue with your mailbox. If you would like further information please contact us by phone and we will be happy to assit you further.

Ordered a pen as a birthday gift for my son on 23rd March, with his birthday on the 31st. The company promised 48-hour delivery and stated that payment would only be taken upon shipping. Despite this, the money was taken immediately and then… nothing. I received no updates, no dispatch notice, no communication at all. I chased the order on the 28th after hearing nothing, only to discover that late on Sunday the 30th, the payment had been reversed through my bank — again, with zero explanation or contact from the company. Now I’m left without the gift my son really wanted — a fountain pen he was so excited about — and clearly no prospect of it arriving on time, if ever. This is disgraceful service with unacceptable communication. I won’t be ordering from this company again, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone expecting reliability or even basic customer care.

Hello Lisa, Thank you for getting in touch. Just to confirm, your order has been cancelled, as requested / discussed by email, and no payment has been taken. What you may be seeing on your banking app is a pre-authorisation - this is not an actual charge. At the time of placing an order, we simply request a pre-authorisation from your bank to reserve the funds. Payment is only taken once your items are packed and ready for dispatch. Different banks display these pre-authorisations in various ways - some list them clearly as “pending” or “pre-auth,” while others include them in your transaction list without explanation. Often, if you click into the transaction, it will clarify that it is not a completed payment - this is the caase for may banks e.g. Monzo, Lloyds, and Nationwide, we believe Starling may show similar detail if you drill down on teh transacion entry. It is also worth noting that banks may remove these pre-authorisations from your statement after a short time. This is a standard process and does not mean your order has been cancelled or processed - it is simply how the bank manages reporting of pending transactions on their system. Regarding your order, the White Safari cap was listed as “stock expected in 7–14 days” at the time of purchase, as we were currently awaiting delivery from Lamy’s factory in Heidelberg. Stock did arrive within this quoted time frame. Whilst Royal Mail 48 Tracked is our base delivery service and offered free for orders of this value, the shipping method chosen - whether standard or expedited - only affects the speed of delivery from us to you, not how quickly items arrive with us from the manufacturer. Your email was received on Saturday 29 March (when our office was closed) and was responded to the next working day, Mon 31 March. We hope this clears up any confusion.

The Pen Company is fine. The Paperblanks mini diary, while still attractive, has reduced space for daily entires to the point of it being unuseable.

I still did not received my order. It is stuck @ the Postoffice. I paid 3.75£ for the parts and appr. 7£ shipping cost. The belgium post send me an invoice of 25.75€ for import taxes. My proposal: send little parts like push buttom by letter.

I ordered an engraved pen for my husbands Birthday. I received advice that the engraving had failed and that they had to wait for more pens from France. I agreed to wait a while, then having heard nothing I phoned a week before my husbands Birthday. I was assured that the pens had arrived and it would be on its way by 24hr post. 5 days later (the day before hubby's birthday) I receive an email to advise the engraving failed again and I will be refunded!!. No phone call and no offer to send an unengraved pen so I would at least have a present for him. You knew this was for a gift and despite all my chasing you assured me all was well only to cancel the order at the last minute. Disgraceful way to run a business.

In summary, your order for Lamy refills. was received in the afternoon of Sat. 15 May and was dispatched on Monday 17 May via your chosen delivery service , which was Second Cass post. I ordered a Graff ballpoint pen - delivery due within 4-7 days this was ordered in March. I’ve emailed twice asking for an update - nothing. The website is still advertising this pen due 4-7 days? I’ve asked if I can buy the fountain pen instead as that’s in stock - no response. At least respond to an email. Very disappointed.

The pen arrived damaged due to poor packaging and I was told a replacement would be sent. Instead an empty box was sent. The Pen Company refuse to do anything more. Buy from anyone else their customer service stinks. You are told one thing but another thing happens. This happened repeatedly to me and I would not recommend the experience to anyone. If you are wondering why there are so many positive reviews on here it is simple - The Pen Company ONLY ask you to review the site if nothing went wrong. They are not interested in solving complaints.

I have placed the order on December 17. The order was approved and shipped to destination. After 5 weeks I still did not receive it and there was no answer to e mail that I have sent to customer service. Very unprofessional attitude. Jasmina

I received a box of ‘green’ cartridges which was the correct order ,.....however!! They are blue & NIT GREEN! Too much of a hassle to complain etc then an option to review, hence this negative review.

Hello Paula, Thank you for your feedback and drawing our attention to this. It does appear that the cartridges have been mis-packed by the manufacturer and, as you say, blue cartridges have been put into "green" boxes. We will be in touch to resolve this.

My pen, which is my grans Christmas present, has still not arrived. I have an email to say it was dispatched 8 days ago. The Pen Company have not sent this by recorded delivery and so no one seems to be able to help me. I would not order from them again.

We are sorry to hear that you pen was never received as you are already aware you have been refunded in full. It is very unusual to experience any loss of goods with Royal Mail, to keep prices as low as possible we do not automatically dispatch lower value orders using a tracked service, however, all customers can opt to upgrade to a tracked service when they checkout for an additional fee.
