“Absolutely avoid at all cost. The worst service attitude I've experienced, even in the U.K. and that says a lot ! I had to return a bed as it was incredibly bulky/too high/ massive/ the proportions all wrong for a double size as the headboard is far too prominent / towering for that size and the entire bed too high. It was a nightmare organizing the pick up and the refund has still not been issued although it was promised over a week ago. So many mistakes on the way as well with a sales person somehow recording I only returned the bedframe whilst I returned frame + mattress, and incredibly fresh and rude attitude whenever I spoke to someone on the phone, of course never the slightest hint of an apology. There seems to be total chaos internally and lack of professionalism on every level. I have NEVER been spoken to so dismissively and rudely by a retailer and I am over 50 YO and have lived and shopped across the world.”

Hi, Just wanted to confirm that your bed was picked up last week. Once we pick up the bed and mattress we check everything and then process the refund. I can confirm that your refund has already been processed, but it can take upto 5 working days for your money to show up in your account. If it doesn't do get in touch and we can chase it up from our end. I do apologise you feel that the service has been subpar. We strive to always provide a service that is par excellent and did try and accommodate all your requests. I do apologise for any mistakes that occurred, but these were quickly rectified. Once again, apologies for the issues you had on your return. Everything should have been correctly resolved now and your refund has been issued. You should receive your money shortly.

“I'm so pleased I ordered my new bed from OBC. I opted for a Hamilton small double in white, which was made to order and delivered exactly when indicated, which gave me time to crack on and redecorate. Unfortunately, the delivery guys wouldn't take the bed upstairs as our stairs are quite awkward, which I'd half expected, but two of us were able to get everything up there after they'd left. The bed itself was easy to put together and is built like a battleship! It was very well wrapped and protected. Opening the box of brass fittings was like opening a box of Christmas decorations. The 28cm deep mattress is dreamy, and having opted for the higher level when constructing the frame, climbing up to get into bed feels very special. My daughter has admitted she's very envious and is seriously considering replacing her own bed with one from OBC.”

“I had a metal-framed double OBC bed for many years and needed to upgrade to a King-size. The old bed was assembled and dismantled a good number of times and was just as sturdy at the end as when I first bought it. The new bed seems to be just as well built and solid. The build and assembly quality is far greater than with other metal beds I have encountered.”

“Ive purchased two iron bedframes from The Original Bed Company, the Hamilton low end and Chatsworth's. They are of amazing quality and very sturdy. I'm really happy with how lovely they look in our bedrooms. I would definitely recommend this company as their customer service is really good and their beds are of an extremely high standard.”

“The colour choice is a good match and the instructions easy to follow. The mattress is huge but so so comfy & the bed is a centrepiece to the master bedroom in our new home. We ordered well before our new home was ready to move into and the delivery timing worked out perfectly!”

“It was extremely well packaged. We put it together very easily. I paid extra to have 2 men take it upstairs for me as I had no idea how heavy it would be for one of them to run upstairs with it lol. The slats were layered and compressed so very supportive. Once together and the bed made up it looked very beautiful. My husband had been experiencing pain in his hips that went away within 2 days of sleeping on this bed. Its gorgeous and soo comfortable.”
