“Unfortunately experienced poor service from TKC. Please be aware when choosing next day collection from some local stores as they have the right to refuse depending on space. I wasn’t aware of this but apparently TKC advised this can happen. I believe this to be misleading to customers who opt for this choice as a flexible option. After my parcel was refused, it was returned to the depot in the city centre where it sat for several days before I received any updates. I spoke to TKC customer advisors re this but they only had the same information I received from DPD. There was no attempt to escalate this further or raise with courier just hang tight as it advised it would be delivered the next working day. I questioned this as they didn’t have my home address but remained hopeful. I managed to change this manually via the DPD app to deliver to my home address for the day after as they failed to deliver on said working day… still no update from DPD but said it could be sent the next day thereafter. After all this I checked again and seen it was being sent back to TKC. I reached out to customer service again sharing my frustration and disappointment what should have been a next day collection was over a week wait. I explained the parcel was for a gift and no longer any use. I also questioned why it was sent back when I hadn’t agreed to this. I was informed I would receive a refund as parcel clearly was being sent back and this had been raised but still no email confirming this, which isn’t reassuring. I was quite disappointed in customer advisor’s vague and automated responses, no way of real resolution or gesture to restore faith in company. I was just advised a refund had been raised, but no paper trail evidence this had happened. Please be aware before ordering and perhaps choose a tracked delivery to home. So unfortunate.”

Your parcel was dispatched promptly from our warehouse the day after your order was placed, however it unfortunately encountered unexpected issues within the courier network after the selected pickup shop was unable to accept the delivery. We appreciate how frustrating the resulting delays and lack of clear updates would have been, particularly as the order was intended as a gift. While our customer service team can only access the same tracking information provided by the courier until an investigation is opened, we did our best to keep you informed throughout the process and issued a full refund as soon as it became clear that the parcel was being returned to us. We are also raising the circumstances of this delivery with our courier partner to better understand why the parcel was returned rather than redirected following your request. “We recently bought the Little Dutch playhouse and the quality is really poor. The writing is peeling off the letterbox, there are tiny screws in the pre made walls that are coming out and are very sharp - not kid friendly - the whole thing is really flimsy. Wouldn’t recommend”
