Half the fish were frozen other half thawed out , DPD did not ring the bell just left the parcel on the doorstep, luckily I spotted the van driving off, first order from the Fish Society and will be the last

We are sorry that you are so disappointed. We do not guarantee that your order will arrive frozen but it should still be cold to the touch. So long as your fish was cold, it is absolutely fine to refreeze and will keep perfectly well in your freezer for a good 3 months. Please be aware that delivery procedures evolved considerably during the pandemic. We would prefer it if the driver always knocked or rang, but we cannot make them. Instead, the completion of your delivery is usually notified by a text. You do need to look out for this text and act on it when received.

The fish was great - I just wish they would sort out some sustainable packaging. Huge polystyrene unrecyclable box puts me off from buying this in the future

Good morning Ben Having looked into this a bit more, it has transpired that this was a packing error. 99% of our orders go out in 100% recyclable cardboard boxes. You may be interested to take a look at this when you have a moment: https://www.thefishsociety.co.uk/blog/recyclable-boxes

I am quite interested but I haven’t placed an order because of the complete absence of any mention on the website of environmental issues, particularly with regard to overfishing and carbon footprint. MSC certification would be a start.

Additionally, we donate regularly to marine sustainability organisations and worthy initiatives. Previous donations have been to Blue Marine Foundation, The National Lobster Hatchery and Marine Stewardship Council which you mention. I'm sorry to say the fish just wasn't great. Not what I expected when I ordered sashimi grade. It went in the bin.

Not on the second time when I decided to buy KETA - SALMON ROE again. The first time was very good but the second time was a waist of money.

Hello Oliver, so long the brown shrimp were cold to the touch then it is perfectly OK to re freeze. Was this not explained to you at the time? If not please contact us via email at customerteam@thefishsociety.co.uk

Terribly disappointed. I’m sure the fish was lovely quality and the delivery was very prompt but every single item had been ripped so completely open and not vacuum packed. All the fish will now get freezer burn. Spent hundreds so really unhappy about this.
