“I wrote an email and I never got a response: I am writing to formally express my strong dissatisfaction with the seafood order I received from you. Unfortunately, the quality of the products was completely unacceptable. The oysters arrived frozen, which made them entirely unsuitable for raw consumption. In addition, none of the clams opened during cooking. I cooked them for over 15 minutes, and not a single one opened. As someone who has cooked clams and seafood my entire life, I am confident that they were not fresh and not fit for consumption as they would normally open in a couple of minutes. As a result, all of the clams had to be thrown away. This order was intended for Christmas Eve dinner with friends, and it was extremely disappointing to have half of the food I ordered end up in the bin. This significantly affected what was meant to be a special occasion. Given the circumstances and the poor quality of the products received, I am very disappointed and would like to formally request a refund for the oysters and clams mentioned above. Customer service inexistent but you sent a survey to rate your service? Unfortunately I did not think of taking pictures as I was too busy cooking something alternative for my guests with fewer ingredients I had, but I wish I did! I’m still waiting your response and to a resolution of this matter.”

“When I first started buying from TFS I was really impressed. But as time has gone on, I have become less so. Noticeably less so. There are some very good products — but those are the plain fish/shellfish. When I have tried prepared products I have routinely been disappointed and have not bought the same thing more than once other than the salmon wellington which I think is excellent. Some things seem very expensive for what they are — the rock lobster tail was very disappointing for example. If you are charged for premium product you expect it to be - premium product. Also the frequency of marketing emails is off putting and the ordering system is very rigid. And having to go through one or more layers of AI to interact with a human is also off putting. The combination of unrelenting marketing and AI response to queries makes it feel very plastic and cold. Probably not the customer response you are aiming for.”

“Excellent bright-eyed beast well chill-wrapped & boxed. Please put max measurement(s) on site!! Too big for freezer ( my neighbour has huge ice coffin style so resolved) & I had to decapitate & tail- off to fit kettle & oven which spoilt presentation. Eight people enjoyed delicate meaty flesh so fish died for a good cause. I made an excellent Bouillabaisse with remaining bits & carcass. Question. Where was it born and where are the leaps, babbling brooks & ravines in ...Guildford ??? Happy New Year.”

“I was no totally happy with the fish I bought. I did not realize that it would be frozen. I sent it to my sister in law for Christmas. She said it arrived with no apparent freezing packing. I have yet to hear from her how it tasted.”
