We have been using the Fish Society regularly for years. Only one disappointment - this year our scallops were inconsistent sizes and only two had the advertised corals.

bought some fish for my national dishes, you can't find it in usual stores, very tasty and high quality! the delivery was fast, they managed to drop the box inside my porch. sweet deal for salmon steaks was also great, thank you!

An amazing choice, quick and uncomplicated to order. Emails to update and delivery was on the date specified. All well packaged and frozen . Already eaten the salon pate and prawns , delicious wish I had ordered more . Highly recomend

These two orders were Christmas presents, so I can only saythat they were delivered on the requested day, which is a big plus!

All the fish I have purchased since I joined 3 months ago has been of exceptionally high quality. The speed of delivery, customer service and packaging have all been excellent. Very impressed.

Back at the beginning of December I ordered a whole salmon and a smoked salmon box for Christmas Eve to be delivered on 23rd. I received notification from DPD that they were expecting my parcel on 22nd but nothing further. Contacted customer services several times by phone on 23rd and got a recorded message telling me to email which I did and got a chatbot. No Christmas Eve family dinner and no refund. Appalling lack of service.

The salmon sides were okay, a bit scrawny and needing trimming. Look and taste was nothing special and more expensive than wild.

I placed an order for Tiger King prawns on 17 December 2025 and was charged £194.82. While I was out running errands, I received an email stating that my order had been delivered. When I returned home, there was no parcel outside my building. The delivery confirmation included a photo taken by the DPD driver showing a large box left directly in front of the building, clearly visible from the street. Unsurprisingly, the parcel appears to have been stolen. I contacted DPD immediately and was informed that The Fish Society had selected the option allowing parcels to be left in a “safe place.” Leaving a large, valuable box in plain view outside a block of flats is clearly not a safe place, but this decision was made by the company, not by me. I then contacted The Fish Society and, after being passed around and waiting five days for their so-called investigation, was informed that I would have to bear the loss. Their reasoning was that by using their service, I automatically accept their terms and conditions, which state that, due to COVID, drivers may leave parcels outside. I was never given a clear choice or warning about this, nor was I offered the option to refuse unattended delivery. I find this practice extremely unfair and misleading. If customers are expected to take full responsibility for parcels left unattended and subsequently stolen, this should be explicitly stated at checkout, with a genuine choice offered. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others: if something goes missing, you should be prepared to lose your money with little accountability from the company.

I cannot comment on the taste or quality of the fish we have received, as we have not eaten it yet. We placed the order on the 8th December for a sushi dinner on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, when I opened the box, it did not contain the correct cut or quantity of salmon. The explanation from Dean at the Fish Society was that they were "likely" out of stock and that there had been no time to let me know, which seems unlikely given the time between order and delivery. I was only refunded for the difference between the two cuts of salmon, despite it not being what we ordered. There was no acknowledgement that this still left us short on an ingredient at a time when this will be very difficult to rectify. The email I sent in reply to this was ignored. I therefore cannot recommend buying from them for a special occasion, without a back-up plan.

Caviar and lobsters not yet eaten, but the monkfish cheeks wer very good. Ordering and delivery good too. Only problem was I found it difficult to change the delivery day online. Otherwise good.
