You’re not alone thinking that Richard, but it’s not really caught on. Probably because the bike market is so small and insurers focus where most consumers are, cars, home, life etc. That and assessing the combined risk and pricing it attractively must be difficult for underwriters. Thanks for taking the time to review our service and ride safe.

“After taking out insurance on a new scooter from the day it was delivered, I 'phoned to say it wouldn't fit in my locked shed as I'd hoped, so would be kept in a back garden. Understandably, this raised the premium, so I paid the extra. A week later I 'phoned to find out why I hadn't received my documents, and was told the original insurer would not insure the scooter in a back garden. So I was offered a new insurer, whose premium was significantly higher. I expected to pay just the extra amount as the policy was still in the process of being set up and no documents had been received - but I was also charged a cancellation fee of £65. So the total I paid in the end was 3 times the original quote.”

“Got the quote through Topcashback. Good price especially with cashbank. HOWEVER, Bike Insurer is denying that I got a policy from them for my cashback despite having the written policy etc. Topcashback having to chase them!!!!!!!”

“To be honest top notch I broke down right after getting my bike about 3 hours away from home and the first day on the insurance and their recovery team was right on it and got my bike home in a few hours”

“Recently changed insurance to which bike sure gave a competitive quote. I decided to go ahead 3 weeks before my renewal which gave me peace of mind, however I mistakingley put 5 years riding experience instead of 4 years and they charged me £35 to amend what I thought was a basic change. This then made bike sure more expensive overall for such a primitive error. I did mention due to this and the way it seemed that I wouldn't be renewing but the lady seemed unphased and put the phone down.”
