“the oven and hood were promised delivery on the 16th December and true to their word the units arrived promptly that morning the staff struggled a bit to get the oven into the kitchen but with the aid of my fitters it all got sorted for Christmas Good job Guys”

“It was an absolute pleasure dealing with John Pounds and his staff at Appliance Depot. John was both helpful and knowledgeable and I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone who required a kitchen appliance. (In fact I already have ;-) ) I have purchased a range cooker, hood, dishwasher and American style fridge/freezer. I've not taken yet taken delivery of these items yet due to awaiting my new kitchen from "sister" company Leicester Kitchen Depot. The showroom manager Joel LaRosa provided me with fantastic service and a noticeable attention to detail, this I have to say was certainly lacking with other kitchen specialists I had spoken with. I highly recommend both companies for a one stop shop!!”

“I've used the Appliance Depot three times, now - once for a graded dishwasher which arrived on schedule and worked perfectly; once for a built in cooker which was much the same. Lastly, I bought a graded Siemens built in column fridge from them. It arrived, late - once installed, it simply didn't work. I contacted them, expecting a refund or replacement, but was fobbed off with 'you'll have to contact the manufacturer and make a warranty claim'. I explained that, under the Sale of Goods Act (1979), a Manufacturer's Warranty was supplemental to the contract which I had with them. John assured me that he was familiar with the Act, but could (was prepared) to do absolutely nothing else. This was shortly before Christmas. On Christmas Eve, I had to go to Argos and buy another Fridge. I had initiated a Trading Standards case against J&S Home Appliances, but truly couldn't live with being spiteful enough to pursue it. My fridge is still not working. In short - they offer decent kit, at a reasonable price - but if anything's wrong, they have absolutely no interest in knowing. I would never buy from these people again, and strongly advise others not to do so.”

“I purchased a Best Hood BE MO 50SS extractor hood. I am very happy with appliance. However, I sent the card off to register the appliance for its guarantee to address an in Blackpool and royal mail returned it saying' addressee gone away'. Can anyone help as I am worried in case i have any problems in the future?”

“Great range of stock, delivered and installed the next day and my old machine taken away (local delivery), would recommend, sent off to manufacturers and received a full 2 year guarantee.”

“I bought a discounted fridge with dents but sold as in working order. When it did not arrive I was told that it had fallen over and it could not be sold to me but they had a different model so I went for that. It arrived but without all the filters and pipes and it did not work. Called the brand engineer out to fix who said it had been tampered with and re-gassed and could not be repaired and was not covered by the manufacturers guarantee as promised. We called alliance depot, they said they'd ring back but didn't, we called again and again the didn't ring back when they said they would but the third time we got through to the right person and they refunded us in full within minutes. I spent £50 buying a load of pipes and filters I can't use and I will have to pay to dispose of their junk fridge. Broken heated and broke.”

“We were looking for a direct replacement for a Neff built in microwave. The Appliance Depot was the only supplier that our search returned. The staff were very efficient and helpful, holding the appliance until we could collect it and giving directions when we had difficulty locating them. The microwave has been fitted into the cabinet and is working perfectly. Many thanks for excellent service.”
