I was disappointed with the touch up paint needed on the right side of the stone. It detracted from the smooth natural look and feel of the stone. Not sure why it was necessary.

Hello, thank you for your review. As the East of India pebbles are solid porcelain, I’m afraid that this little mark is a result of the manufacturing process where the pebbles leave the machine , and are then sealed with a small white paint dot that is added to finish and seal them.

Mugs a bit too chunky - look and feel more like pottery than bone China. A disappointed customer who’s expectation was not met.

Was not happy with service, no boxes provided as these were gifts. Customs and duty was high.

Thank you for your review. Having checked your order, you did not select any gift boxes when placing your order. Unfortunately, the gift boxes do not come as standard with our Dunoon mugs, therefore our customers are given the option when placing mug orders to select the relevant box if required for an additional charge. With regards to the customs duty, all international orders are subject to tax and customs charges determined by customs and excise in the destination country, I’m afraid we are unable to determine how much these charges will be. I bought a mug from Temptation Gifts for my wife for Valentines Day, so she hasn't actually received it yet. It has arrived nicely wrapped as requested. The reason for only giving three stars is because I felt disappointed in the way the checkout takes you to PayPal before adding the postage costs. I hate this practice and feel postage and packing should be added to the cost in full before being asked to pay. That way the cost is fully transparent ~ as it should be.

Hi Richard, Thank you very much for your review and for your feedback in regards to postage. It sounds like you checked out using the PayPal Express checkout button directly from the basket page. This option redirects you back to our site after logging in as we cannot determine the shipping country, postcode or method before you select from your address book in PayPal. For a standard experience, you can go through our full checkout where you input your address and choose your postage option first, before then being redirected to PayPal to pay. We also make the postage price clear on each of our product pages just below the add to cart button, and is also listed on our dedicated delivery pages. Thanks, Jamie, Technical Dept.

I was treated like a criminal for ordering more than 2 of the same type of Jellycat, and my orders were canceled. Due to the rude email I received, I will not be shopping their store again.

As our Jellycat stock is in short supply we try to be fair to all our customers, to allow everyone to have a chance to order all the designs we have available, this is stated on our website, showing "Please note: Due to difficulties with supply, each Jellycat product is limited to a maximum of 2 per customer. We apologise for any inconvenience caused"I hope that you can appreciate that we put these rules in for a good reason. As you placed orders for 6 of exactly the same Jellycat items, unfortunately, you have circumvented our rule of 2 Jellycat designs per customer. I am delighted with my order. I'm less happy with the FedEx invoice for the customs charges. Long live Brexit. I had forgotten that aspect. I wish they had warned me. I will remember that for the next few times. I will avoid ordering from UK unfortunately.

I ordered and paid for girt wrapping on three Christmas mugs. When the mugs arrived they were not gift wrapped. I phoned Temptations gifts and the person in customer services immediately refunded the money. I was however disappointed as I now have to gift wrap them myself! Can’t understand how this was missed?

The cup itself is lovely. However, considering the price...... and I am aware that gift boxes are additional.... I do not believe the cup should have arrived wrapped in cardboard "mesh" in a very large cardboard box. This was very disappointing as the cup was a Christmas gift.

We are now using ECO packaging instead of any plastic materials, we try and wrap the mugs in a particular way as they are fine china and need to be completely secure. The products and delivery were fantastic, however i was very disappointed that after i had bought the yankee candles that they were further discounted a few days after my purchase. I appreciate i got them on a good deal, but felt customer service should have given a better response than a "tough luck" attitude when emailed. I spent £170 and was planning on purchasing again with another large order, but the uniformed response of not willing to come and go with the difference of £12-£13 refund just annoyed me and i have terminated my subscription with them. Its all about the money and clearly not the customer satisfaction.

Therefore informing our customers too far in advance is not feasible as these promotions may change when it comes to the day we go Live. We email all of our customers that are subscribed on the agreed day with our new deals, when we have settled on them and they are guaranteed. You may of course, at your own cost, return your original orders for a full refund of the items, and place a new order with the heightened promotional discounts. I have only given 3 stars as although I have found the service from this company very good in the past, this time I was very disappointed with the packaging of one item. Ordered two of the same item. One was beautifully packed in the East of India box with the little drawing depicting contents. The other was in a tatty plain box that was of an inferior quality cardboard. As these were gifts I was very disappointed. I emailed Temptation Gifts and was basically told this was how they had been received from the manufacturer and they had no control over it but my complaint would be passed to packaging. And that’s it! I’m still not happy. Have ordered quite a lot of East of India items in the past and always been beautifully packed. I will think twice now before I order anything else.

Whilst I can understand your frustration regarding the discount, unfortunately we have to start and end promotions at some point, and in a 24/7 online world unfortunately there is no time where customers are not online shopping with us, therefore at some point we will start a promotion sometimes within minutes or seconds of orders being placed. Hello, thank you for our review. all our prices and shown on our website in UK sterling as we a UK based company, however on the top right hand side of every page is a Currency Converter. Click over the text "Currency Converter" to open a drop down menu and choose a different currency in which to display all the prices on the site. You can display our GBP prices in US dollars, Euros, Japanese yen, Australian dollars, Canadian dollars, Indian rupees or Swiss francs. Kind regards, Rebecca @ customer service

I was really excited to see some great Yankee Candle scents on the site so got myself some wax melts and 3 x candles. The wax melts were great - strong smelling and delicious. The candles - sadly not so good. One had zero scent at all, even though I burned it fully for 3/4 hours, and the other two had very minimal scent throw. Really disappointed, not at all what I would expect from Yankee Candle. I don't think I would buy candles from this brand again. Customer services did give me a refund for the candle with zero scent and their response was very quick so I would use Temptation Gifts again.
