“I completed the Level 5 168hr TEFL online course as I needed to fit this around my full time job. It was so easy to follow and understand; the content covered everything I think I will ever need and the videos and transcripts were easy to use. Feedback from my assignments was always delivered promptly and any help I needed was responded to in a timely manner. I’d really recommend this company to get you going on your journey! I’ve already passed the details over to friends to get them started. Thanks TEFL.Org!!!”

“The TEFL Org is a very professional organisation with experienced and well trained employees. Having recently obtained my Level 5 TEFL qualification through TEFL Org, I feel confident and well equipped to start my TEFL career. The 168 hour online course was much more challenging than I originally thought it would be. I had to re-do my first assignment which initially upset me. However I soon appreciated my Tutor’s feedback and grasped the importance of the assignments. The Webinars offered by TEFL Org are also informative and well presented. Thank you TEFL Org!”

“I think the course was very complete. I think you can improve the videos, more explicit on how to prepare a class instead of just showing the class. As well as papers that can be useful when preparing a class. Also, my proposal is to have the quizzes with a tutor by a videocall”

“Could not follow up nor exploit some group's success. In the end, what was a initial salesy promotion from a excitable inexperienced phone chat morphed deep disappointment that reflected on the others, who provided a first class online program.”

“Concepts like “discovering meaning”, for example, are so difficult to teach and communicate to begin with that to have to write a lesson plan illustrating these points without the benefit of verbal words, or actual body language seems near impossible from the outset. To then have to spend a great effort editing down to an absurdly small (and seemingly arbitrary) word count number for lesson plan assignments becomes salt on a wound… This leads me to my second observation: something as simple as a 5-minute conversation with the course tutor (by zoom, phone etc), perhaps as part of a scheduled ‘office hours’ time block, could easily solve this problem. No doubt your business model and price point lead you to keep tutor interaction time to an absolute minimum, but I think I would look to one of the more expensive courses out there if I had to do this over again. Third issue: very little was said about proficiency levels, level testing etc. Even just a page or module with a list of links to specific websites that detail this info would have been very helpful. Teaching students that are specifically trying to prepare for the TOEFL for example seems like an unavoidable part of TEFL teaching and I don't feel I learned much of anything about the subject...”

“I was sceptical when I first signed up for the course, as I was unsure it would suit my requirements. I spoke to (on multiple occasions) lovely advisors on the website, each of which were very helpful and put me at ease. The course was well organised, with plenty of examples and tutor support readily available. Some of the modules had me doubting myself (being a native English speaker) but the assignment feedback was very useful and helped me feel that it is achievable. There is a community forum where students can interact with each other, giving peer support or advice. I feel what I have learned from the course is invaluable, which I wouldn't have achieved had I not undertaken the course - the whole Online aspect was really beneficial to me, especially due to my current situation. What I have learned from the course, will help me not only develop as a Teacher but will allow me to support future children in my class where English is not their first language.”
