“An acceptable way to get your 120-hr TEFL certification. However, I did not need to spend so much time reviewing english grammer, as I am a native speaker. More of the course should be about learning teaching skills.”

Thank you for your review, Mark! We’re sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations. We normally receive great feedback regarding our Grammar section from native English speakers. As this can be a great refresher course, and only equates to 30-hours of the 120-hour course. It is also a requirement for us to maintain our high standard of accreditation. “I learned a lot from the course and I am confident that I can now practice a lot in my English teaching process. However I would love to have a more direct interaction between a tutor and students with video calls, prompts and checking understanding through interviews.”

“The course was thorough and the quizzes and assignments were a great way to apply my learning. The virtual weekend was excellent, the tutor demonstrated the lesson structures and gave really useful feed back when I did my lesson practice. My online tutor marked all my assignments really quickly and gave encouraging feedback along with useful examples. Really glad I did the course.”

“Generally a good experience. Biggest issue for me was trying to determine how far through the course I was and how much work I still had to complete. Although each course shows hope far you are through the course as a percentage, this is based on the number of modules completed. With a single module ranging from a 1 minute video or a video of over 30 minutes, the percentage has limited significance. In addition, some of the methodology teaching videos are over 30mins which is a considerable amount of time to maintain focus and get the most out of the video. I think these would be much better shown in shorter segments. The PPP lesson videos would be much more useful if they were split into each individual section i.e. presentation part video, or at least edited so that it is very clear to new learners when one part of the lesson starts and when the next part of the lesson begins. Feedback was very general and some slightly more personalised feedback on assignments would be nice in order to encourage learners.”

“I started this course not knowing what to expect. After teaching English for many years in a variety of settings (including internationally)and being retired; I thought I would begin a new phase of teaching online only. At first, the course was quite easy going although I had not rehearsed my grammar for a long time. The videos were useful and the quizzes were easy to navigate. However, I hit a brick wall when it came to an assignment in the Methodology Unit. I couldn't get it right no matter how many times I tried. Finally, I realised that I would have to seriously concentrate and take the mentor's instructions seriously. I got through that and then stumbled on a couple of assignments I had missed in my haste to get through it. The lesson is that: no matter how much you think you know, you need to do this course properly. You can't breeze through it. So take your time and take it seriously.”

“I found the course challenging but extremely rewarding. I'm grateful it was so accessible and has provided me with the confidence to pursue teaching in the future. The videos were excellent and I appreciated the mix of lengths in areas of study. I know I still have a lot to learn- I feel I still need extra study and plan to continue on with the school.”

“I completed the Level 5 168hr TEFL online course as I needed to fit this around my full time job. It was so easy to follow and understand; the content covered everything I think I will ever need and the videos and transcripts were easy to use. Feedback from my assignments was always delivered promptly and any help I needed was responded to in a timely manner. I’d really recommend this company to get you going on your journey! “The TEFL Org is a very professional organisation with experienced and well trained employees. Having recently obtained my Level 5 TEFL qualification through TEFL Org, I feel confident and well equipped to start my TEFL career. The 168 hour online course was much more challenging than I originally thought it would be. I had to re-do my first assignment which initially upset me. However I soon appreciated my Tutor’s feedback and grasped the importance of the assignments. The Webinars offered by TEFL Org are also informative and well presented. Thank you TEFL Org!”

“I think the course was very complete. I think you can improve the videos, more explicit on how to prepare a class instead of just showing the class. As well as papers that can be useful when preparing a class. Also, my proposal is to have the quizzes with a tutor by a videocall”
