“I did the level 5 Tefl. Org course. It was fantastic. Very clear instruction and broke everything down into very understandable sections. Great tutor support from Fiona. Not an easy course, but the great support got me through it.”

“A very helpful course, professionally delivered. There seems to be some variation in approach from the various tutors who marked my assignments. Generally good but occasionally seemingly inconsistent, or not really reading an assignment, but marking by rote”

“I enjoyed this process. After speaking English for 31 years, I learned so many new things by becoming a teacher. One thing is and always will be true: speaking English and teaching another to speak English are completely different things. So valuable for one's growth and also for supporting others. :)”

“The units were interesting and informative. My one request would be, when you submit online assignments. The system does not allow you to submit work as a table and lesson plans should in table format. Overall a good course.”

“Some of the lessons and curses were redundant . At least for me , maybe you should offer grammar elementary courses to teachers who have never studied grammar. I also think that to pay for the extension was too expensive and a way to get more money from the students. It is claimed your price is reasonable but not really when you count all the extensions I paid. The last two courses are the most valuable ones and I wish I had started the program with those two to keep Me motivated and engaged .”

Hi Amelia, Thank you for your feedback. Although our courses are to help people who are already fluent in English become teachers of English, we do like to provide a short grammar section on our courses. This is a great refresher for many of our students. Although we provide 5 to 7 months (course dependent) to complete a course, we also like to ensure we offer different extensions should these be needed. “The course was great, but there were a handful of things that stood out as possible places for improvement. 1) It was very difficult to hear the adult students in the group lessons. Sometimes you couldn't hear at all. I only knew they were speaking because their mouth was moving. It would go a long way to learning if the students could be heard. 2) The gentleman, Brian says "students'" as "students-is". I have never heard it pronounced that way. It's a British thing, then I apologize. However, to the American ear, it sounds incorrect. 3) The feedback was fair. It seemed a bit canned though. When I got stuck I needed more guidance and I was simply told what to do, but not HOW to do it. More guidance would have been helpful. 4) Finally, your technology course needs to be updated - much of it is outdated. After the pandemic, most people have grown accustomed to using Zoom and Microsoft TEAMS. There are portions that seem quite outdated. Overall, it was a good course, and I'm glad I took it.”

Our tutors do certainly follow a strict structure which ensures that our courses continue to meet the accreditation criteria. As the most accredited TEFL course provider in the UK it means that schools all around the world know a TEFL Org qualified teacher will be a great asset to them. We are still finding many people around the world don't have easy access to the internet or still use Skype etc. We therefore try to make sure that our courses cover this so that teachers have the tools to provide English lessons to everyone, no matter where they are in the world.
