“The reviewer was fantastic, gave me precious comments, the methodology in general is fundamental and valid but the videos and the content should be a bit upgraded as many new things have appeared since COViD.”

“I enjoyed the classroom examples. However, you could not hear the response of the students. After awhile I just skipped the video and read the transcript but that was not as interesting or dynamic. Overall, I learned a lot and purchased the grammer books you recommended. Grammer was the most difficult section for me, even as a native English speaker.”

“I think TEFL.org is a good option for getting an online TEFL certification. The course is well laid out and informative. I have many years of teaching experience, but took this course to add another layer to my resume. In my case, I already knew many of the things taught. That being said, I believe this course was designed for beginners. If you are a beginner, there will be plenty to learn. I think the quiz sections could use a little work. Sometimes answers are ambiguous and more could be added to the feedback besides telling you the answer is wrong. Overall I would still recommend it to anyone needing a TEFL certification.”

“You should try and get recognized with the national education system so teachers can claim the certification as professional experience. TEFL certification should count as professional development, but your organization does not appear on their list of partners who count. Therefore 120 hours of education time do not count toward professional development which allows a professional to renew their certification. Seems like a waste of time. One must have a relationship with their government to participate in self-governance.”

“The 50% discount timer on the landing page, which keeps resetting makes the site seem a bit suspicious. However, past that, I was generally impressed. The course material is easy to follow, which comes in handy for a self-study course, while tutor feedback is timely and always helpful.”

“I thought the course was well-presented, well-organised and used good material. I would have welcomed doing more lesson preparation towards the end of the online course, though there was opportunity to have a go during the three day classroom course, which I chose to do after I had completed the online element; with hindsight, I think I might have done better to do the classroom course before completing the online methodology.”

“The 120 hour course was great, but I honestly wish it went more in depth on phonetics and phonology, as I think it would be useful to know the structure of a language when aiming to teach it to students.”

“Content is good but the 120 hour course does not necessarily take nearly this long. Some questions in the reviews were confusing and some of the videos were potentially too long and could get boring.”

“The course was good, it took more than 120 though. The feedback from the Tutor was very helpful and supportive. The quiz at the end of each section was useful as recall of information. The Unit with all videos to watch was too easy. There should have been a video in the last two units.”
