“The course was incredibly helpful in introducing me to both the concepts and practical skills of teaching English. Before taking the course, I didn't know how to prepare for a lesson and assumed there would be a limit to what I could gain from an online program. However, I found that TEFL made remote learning enjoyable. I could evaluate my understanding through the manageable quizzes and practice creating lessons through the assignments. I think TEFL cleverly incorporates its teaching values into the course. Instead of simply providing the correct answer, the course prompts you to come up with the answer first. I thought this was a smart way to demonstrate the role of 'elicitation' in learning, as it helped me retain the information better through active thinking. It was also beneficial to teach a student in real time, allowing me to experiment with what I learned in class. If I had one piece of advice, I would recommend more detailed feedback for the quizzes. Some of the feedback was a bit insufficient (e.g. "This is correct"). I believe it would be helpful if more questions provided longer explanations. Overall, this was a rewarding experience that opened up my eyes to the vast world of English teaching. I'm glad I chose to take this course!”

“The coursework is very helpful for a person like myself who is interested in teaching ELL students. The lessons are great at providing real examples that showed me how a classroom is conducted and how to create lessons for all students. However, I do have a complaint about my tutor as the feedback that I received was very brief, and when a minor mistake was made, the assignment had to be completely redone. This would not be an issue, but it would take my tutor the full 48-hour limit to re-grade the assignment just to find another issue with the same assignment. It felt very unprofessional, yet I was still satisfied with the amount of time they dedicated to the lessons and the videos that clearly outlined how to be a good teacher. I hope to apply the lessons I’ve learned and become a great teacher for whatever students I have in the future.”

“Good experience. Lessons were easy to follow and the videos were very clear and helpful. I liked following along with a class of learners-it's was neat to see them grow in their skills along the way! The checks for learning were spaced well and helped to reinforce the information. The assignments were useful, but the word limit made clear explanations of my lesson plans challenging. It made the feedback feel nitpicky at times since many of the details requested by the teacher were ones I omitted due to word limit constraints. Otherwise, I am glad to have taken this course. It was very informative and useful. I will use many of the techniques and skills I learned in this course with my students.”

“I started a course with practically no knowledge of how to be a teacher and the different teaching structures and I feel like I've learned a lot throughout the course. I do feel like some more practical assignments would make me feel more prepared to stand in front of the class since not all courses seem to have this, but I think it also has to do with the course being fully online. Overall using this site has definitely been a good experience!”

“"Make sure your PPP doesn't use the TL but do specify if the activity is S-S or S-S / T/w" -It's not helpful and won't be used again outside of this course. IF we continued to use this language in our lesson plans, and submitted them to our employers/schools, they would not know what they were reading. Please consider just writing out "Lesson Plan." The abbreviations feel unprofessional more than anything (opinion/reaction). The tutors were fairly helpful, written assignments were decent as well. Overall a decent course, sometimes it felt as though it focuses on some very minor/less important things than what it breezes over, which in the end seems much more important.”

“Hi the course’s lovely and very informative! I’m glad I bought it when I did! It lacks a bit of cohesion if I’m honest - while I get the idea of eliciting from us as students, there are questions that are sometimes asked before we are presented with topics. Some of us are more prone to teaching and language knowledge in general, but some others may struggle a bit more. I believe I flagged earlier on that there also was somewhere along the course where I found the same questions in two different quizzes. I’m your guy if you need someone to look over it so to make it more cohesive eheh A great course nevertheless which I have already recommended to friends who’ve purchased it too :)”

“I found the tefl course easy to navigate and access online and the tutor I was assigned was polite and quick to respond. I found the learning fun and engaging although some of the questions presented in quizzes and assignments were confusing at times. I would recommend this course.”

“The course is very thorough, but I think there are areas that are definitely harder to understand for those with no teaching experience at all, compared to anyone taking the course who already has experience as a teacher.”

“I am quite satisfied with the courses. The platform and learning materials are helpful and comfortable to use. However, I felt there was a lack of information for experienced teachers (as it is stated that the course suits them too). I would also suggest updating the video content to match modern standards of content creation.”

“I enjoyed the course, but the videos were sometimes too long on Grammar and I preferred just to read the transcript. I also didn't like the word count on the tasks in Methodology, I felt for a level 5 they were too short at this level I am used to writing a lot more.”

“I took the 120hr online course, and felt that the modules were well-structured. The classroom demonstration videos were especially useful. One thing I would suggest is for the videos to be updated - the content is fine, but it felt from visuals & examples that the videos had all been taken some time ago. The feedback from my tutor was helpful and timely. Overall, I would recommend TEFL to friends or colleagues looking to do a fully online programme - I chose this option for flexibility of time in this season, and also because I'd already been an English (first-language) teacher and simply wanted to build on that. But for someone without experience, still working on the language and serious about certification as a TESOL teacher, I'd still suggest they do an in-person or hybrid programme.”

“I’ve enjoyed 120h TEFL COURSE, especially the flexibility when /where to do it. Although I found some of the materials a bit outdated. Video presentations are very old. telephone teaching course is not relevant - I would benefit more to have access to more modern approaches taking about modern technologies. In my opinion ‘teaching large class course’ should be a separate course. Overall I was happy with the outcome and hopefully can use my TEFL certificate to enhance my carear .”

“The course is great, the resources are plentiful, and it has best equipped me for Teaching English as a Foreign Language. What I do NOT appreciate, however, is the fake 'never-ending' sale that occurs on your website. The course is a great product, and the organisation has a decent reputation. Please don't ruin it by running these fake sales, it causes more detriment than you think. I feel personally cheated due to a sale that was meant to end in May, is still active in June/July. Otherwise, Kudos to your teaching team, writers and editors of the course. Besides the Telephone Teaching, all courses on it were very useful.”
