“Very good course which covered different areas of teaching. With tutors who were very helpful. I particularly found classroom demonstration videos very helpful. Too bad there weren’t more of these included in the course. I would have liked to have a module in teaching speaking. I also liked the fact that the course gives a certificate upon the completion however the digital copy doesn’t look very authentic.”

While I appreciate that you feel the digital certificate may not look authentic, it is certainly an official TEFL/TESOL certificate from The TEFL Org which can be verified by employers on our website. Our hard copy certificates will also include a hologram and watermark should you wish a more authentic looking document. Thank you again for your feedback.

“I took the 200-hour course so I went through a lot of content and I found it a bit difficult to prevent myself from growing slightly bored because all of the modules were laid out and designed the same. I think some variety would be good. Aside from that, I think for the most part the assignments and quizzes were fair and the assignments did not take too long to get marked. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I feel like I learned a lot about my own language (English- specifically grammar)as well as teaching a wide variety of students.”

“The range of courses they offer is really good, especially the advanced courses. Admittedly, the course isn't incredibly challenging and it's not as respected as CELTA, but it's good if you want to tutor in your spare time. Don't expect to feel extremely well prepared when you start teaching though: you'll need to a lot of independent study of teaching methodology in your free time.”

“I enjoyed the course quite a lot as it was quite straightforward with clear teaching, activities, quizzes and assignments. I felt interested in English again. My course tutor Dee was very helpful and encouraging. I would have liked to see the teaching demos with different ages and levels of students. I am considering another course from TEFL Org :)”

“It is an excellent place to learn how to teach English language to foreign students. We are taught and shown techniques on how to present the lessons engagingly and interestingly while getting the lessons across. Quizzes and especially assignments help us to understand more deeply the lessons taught.”

“The course has given a good basis for teaching English and is a wonderful gateway to teaching. I was confused as to why I received registration to a US TEFL as I didn’t see that on information before registering (perhaps I missed it) being a UK teacher I was confused as to why it was specifically a US course. It would have been good to have been able to choose elements of the course ie. I wouldn’t have chosen the large classes course. The online classes course needs updating after Covid, many of the references to Skype added to the courses age.”

If you received the US version, this would normally indicate that you paid in dollars. The customer service team can always help with this if you prefer to do the British English version. We are still finding many people around the world don't have easy access to the internet or still use Skype etc. So, we try to make sure that our courses cover this so that teachers have the tools to provide English lessons to everyone, no matter where they are in the world. “A convenient online course that I was able to complete around my full-time job. I learned a lot, both about teaching, and about the English language and enjoyed the experience. Some of the assignments were worded in a slightly confusing way, but my tutor, Fiona, was always quick to respond and gave great feedback.”

“The 120 hour TEFL course was fantastic! It covered a massive range of topics and I particularly responded to how realistic it was about things I may encounter as a teacher in the world, e.g. lack of resources, large class sizes etc. In preparing future teachers for these eventualities, it empowers us to control the learning environment for our students and use it to our advantage. I would 100% recommend this course to anyone wanting to introduce themselves to the world of TEFL and build their teaching skills.”

“I really enjoyed this program. I loved that it was self-paced and the tutor gave me helpful feedback on my assignments. My only complaint is some of the quizzes were a bit redundant and didn’t really seem to ask questions that helped verify understanding of that section. However, that was only a few of the quizzes. Overall, great! I also love that TEFL Org is easy to navigate and makes it easy to find job opportunities.”
