“I really enjoyed the quality of this online program. The lessons were clear and demonstrative, it was never too burdensome in belaboring the points. I do have two critiques: 1. the written assignments - it would be nice if the ways in which they are assigned was more standardized. I messed one up a few times because I was targetting the wrong education level. A table with the important contextual information was used for the final assignment, and I found it much clearer than any previous one 2. video playback settings - I had to go into the web code and modify video speed manually. I personally watch most things at 1.5-2x speed, but with these videos there are long sections where not much is going on. It would be nice to be able to speed along.”

“Your course is great my only feedback is to give genuine feedback on writing exams, some of my writing exams the "feedback" I got was just the instructions and not actual guidance on how to make it better”

“The learning platform was user-friendly and simple to navigate.The course material progressed from fundamental to more complex ideas, making it easy to understand. The amount of theory and practical application materials was also well-balanced. There were enough assessments and quizzes that helped me evaluate my knowledge. “I really enjoyed doing my most recent certificate with TEFL. I would like there to be more courses please. I left some feedback with someone on the chat about including different free courses. It's important to have continuing professional development, and if it is provided by TEFL, then even better. Please perhaps include current topics such as teaching people with neurodiversity, addressing pronouns for people in classes, diversity and gender equality in teaching, things like that. Maybe even well-being for teachers ?”

“I think the course is good, there are a few things through. The video observations and the classroom examples videos were good but it would have been better if they were varied, as the course talks about different classroom types, yet doesn’t show it; quite large classes, different layouts, etc. The only variation was really the same group of adults, one on one or young children, no older teens or anything like that. I feel some of the tenses section could have been a little better explained in the articles to be read as reading for some may be taken in better rather than videos (as this may be the case for some). Overall it’s a good course but I am glad I finally completed it 🙂”

“Overall a good course, clear and concise. Approaches the fundimentals well, clear instructions. I had issues with images loading for thew written assignments. Seems to be a problem with MacOS (M1) compatibility. Dee's correspondence and feedback was great. I would suggest a corse on AI in the classroom as thats they way things are going in the teaching industry. Good job and thanks.”

“The course was well structured and presented. Easy to navigate and very accessible. The videos were illustrative and educational, especially those with classroom demonstrations. The assignments and tests really helped practise and consolidate the content and the tutors always marked and returned my work promptly, providing valuable feedback. My only issue is that task instructions were confusing and, at times, discombobulated, and the wording of some test questions was sometimes tricky to comprehend, especially in the Methodology course. Moreover, the word limit often did not match the aim of the task: it is difficult to 'explain, provide examples, advantages and disadvantages' of key concepts in, say, 100 words. All in all, it was a very enjoyable course and I found it very entertaining and useful. I have been a languages teacher for 15 years and found I was learning a lot in every course I have completed.”

“The course is broken down into easily manageable sections. Access to all parts is very user-friendly. The only down-side was that there were too many written assignments to have to submit and these almost always took quite a few hours to complete, so I would say the whole time is probably more than 120 hours (and I am a qualified teacher with 20+ years of teaching, so hopefully already have a good idea on requirements).”

“I really enjoyed the grammar module and the methodology module. My tutor, Denise was very helpful and approachable. I feel the telephone module and the classroom module were not the best. “The class was well organized and the teacher was very professional. The method of teaching was different than some other language groups, but was student - focused, so it was effective. Overall, the course was worthwhile and I learned a lot. I do wish there was more information on teaching in person, rather than a focus at online teaching methods. There was also a lack of customizing the lesson, based on the size of the class, and the level of the students. Overall good.”
