“The video instruction was very practical and informative. Having one person assigned to look over my assignments and answer any questions was also good. The only module that was not current was the telephone teaching course. There are many newer technologies now that need to be included. Perhaps in the future add a course on teaching phonetics and perhaps one on teaching people with little to no English.”

“I really enjoyed my experience with TEFL.org! I thought the modules were easy to follow and also well organized. I also found the classroom example videos to be really useful and informative. I will say, sometimes when trying to move on to the next module, the website would restart and take me back to my dashboard page (This was a bit annoying). Also, there were a few spelling errors within the modules, which did come across as a bit unprofessional. Overall, I did enjoy TEFL.org and I am glad I chose this program!”

“On balance the course was good although I felt I learned more about the actual delivery of the material from the day course than the online material. I commented at the end of each segment that I felt the quizzes were at time patronising and that overall the course was not that challenging. It was a shame that every demonstration video worked with a class of people who had good English. Finally I felt the teachers in the demonstration videos should have been personally miked.”

“It was a good introduction to teaching English as a foreign language. It did include some parts that I found to be irrelevant, since I understand what environment I would be teaching in. For example, there were courses on teaching English over the phone and in big classroom settings, which I know wouldn't be as relevant in the small classroom I will be teaching in. This said, it was still helpful overall, since I never know where my career heads.”

“I feel the last course on "telephone marketing" needs to be updated. Most of the classes held online are done on zoom and google meets these days. The information on using skype or voip on a one on one tutoring session is a bit dated there and having multiple students on the zoom call should be the focus rather than just one on one. Companies like Lingoace have proliferated during the pandemic and they specialize in offering group online courses.”

“Enjoyed the course, relearning the English grammar in an alternative way. I found however that I could not grasp easily the PPP planning as the difference to each stage was never that clear to me. Perhaps it was more me, than the teaching itself, but I found it confusing”

“The course was good and helpful, overall, although I noted some errors within the course. For example, in Unit 3, Module 13, there is a production note, "need help with this table" (there are a couple more production notes in other places, too, along with multiple comma splices that should be fixed).”

“Telephone questions answered promptly - no call centre or voice systems, thank heavens. Courses well delivered - everyone comes across genuinely, rough edges included which is a good thing as it reflects reality. I would possibly update the one course on telephone learning as none uses just phone. My main concern is with after care. The blog has key questions on jobs for example all unanswered. I think the usp for TEFL.org should include testimonials on finding work afterwards as that's the whole point. Some of the online job postings are highly questionable when you go on to read Glassdoor and other reviews. Better to have testimonials from where your graduates actually ended up and post their company details. Overall very satisfied with my course and achievement. It's been something I wanted to do for many years.”

“Hi, I enjoyed the course. I would say that my only feedback is the course on teaching a class of 60 and how it was hard to envision teaching a class that big, in which I went from having video examples in every course expect this one.”
