“The TEFL English course is really good. I thoroughly enjoyed learning stuff that I hadn't touched in years. The only issue I have is the person who was grading my assignments. I failed the Methodology Unit 2 assignment 5 times, even though I had followed the feedback instructions. I felt as if the goal posts kept moving and I was thoroughly confused and frustrated for quite some time. Other than that, I am satisfied with the education I obtained from completing this course.”

“the comprehensive material is definitely helpful, however, in some parts, there is an unhealthy amount of obsession with using certain terminologies.”

“The grammar course was quite well made, and really showed me how much I'd forgotten from my college courses. TEFL methodology was the most important information for me to learn, and the combination of classroom videos from these courses and detailed systems gave me what I need to apply this in jobs. I found some of the assignments extremely challenging having zero work experience in this field. This made each pass that much more meaningful to me, even if it was at my expense. Along the way, I wondered if it would be helpful to have a direct line to a tutor during certain hours (almost like office hours) through which us students could ask some questions about these assignments, or whatever they're struggling with.”

“So in terms of IT - it’s not one of my strengths but signing up, paying and then actually accessing the course was really simple. The content was challenging, when I was a lass we didn’t study any of the tenses - never heard of an aspect and some of the grammar points were completely alien, but I managed to finish the course and have really learned such a lot. If I was to complain about anything, the bit about contacting the tutor was a bit confusing. I ended up using the chat though and that was helpful- I thought I’d failed a quiz and just needed to clarify what I needed to do next. Yes I would recommend the course. I’ve opted to do the advanced business English course - hopefully the new qualifications will be a solid foundation for teaching overseas even though I’m a lot older than the average candidate.”

“Good classes overall. At times the feedback from my mentor was a little vague. It would have been nice to have had a periodic touch base via a brief video conference call even if it was for ten minutes only. Not sure if your mentors have the availability do this in the first place. I was very impressed with Micaela Russo's dedication and capabilities to teach. She was clear and very helpful especially for a non native English speaker. My only concern was that we went over the four hour limit for every class session. That is a lot to ask the students . We were only given one 10 minute break during the entire four hour sessions too. Just wished the time could have been managed better. Overall your teaching methodology was excellent. I loved the elicit teaching approach to your students. This puts more of the responsibility on the student. This approach can be applied to all sorts of academic teaching and even sports coaching as well.”

“I had a great experience working with TEFL.Org. I really liked how I could go at my own pace with the lessons. After taking this course I feel confident in my ability to teach the English language and handle a classroom of students. I also liked the large class, online class and business English courses that were included. I just got my certificate in the mail and it looks great! Overall a great program. Definitely worth the money. I'm happy I chose this company.”

“I really enjoyed the TEFL 120 h Premiere course and I gained new insights into teaching methodology for learners at different levels . “Welldone, I mean at every chapter, lots of info/knowledge / tools is/are given and well presented, as for variety of texts, video and quizzes. (A good start for me as I wish to take the step to teach English -as a fulltime new career, worldwide and may take more advanced courses to position myself optimally). “Good content. Webpages generally easy to use, with no errors in the material. Not one soul has EVER responded to an email. I emailed the tutor several times--no answer (what's the point of having a tutor if 2-ewsay communication can't be had?). I emailed the support email address--no reply. Significant issue: in the Methodology Course, 100% of the video demonstrations of TEFL teachers at work (showing a class in Scotland) showed a class in which the teachers were able to use normal English to the class.... However, the standard to which my tutor graded my work was based on the assumption that the students were at the lowest possible level of English comprehension. Assignments were rejected because of this ("...remember, your students cannot speak ANY English at all!...). But in all of your training slides, the students were already quite good with English. You need to fix this disconnect. Show some demonstration videos of a Teacher walking into a class in which the Students are at Level 0...completely unable to speak a word of English.”

“I really liked how short, quick and easy the assignments and quizzes were to get through. I liked the layout of the courses and the classroom examples used in each course. I didn't like how sometimes I would click onto a specific course for e.g. the Telephone teaching course and it would bring me into a different course like a glitch on the website.”

“I thought that the processes were clear along with the online access. My tutor was very quick in answering any queries and marking work. My main area of concern was that some of the points raised by my tutor, e.g. in Asia, you would near a different (non-verbal) approach, were not evident in the materials as all of the video demonstrations were from Scotland.”

“The training itself is worthwhile and I’m glad to have done it, however, I think the program needs an update to be more in line with best practices in teaching and a better delivery system, such as canvas, some of the teaching demos are extraordinarily long and it can get a little boring. Farther, it would be nice to have models for the assignments.”
